Prayer for my healing from past trauma, OCD and PTSD

I have been stuck in a fight or flight response for over a decade now due to the physical, emotional and sexual abuse I experienced as a child and an adult. I finally snapped in May this year and developed a severe case of OCD and PTSD. I was bedridden for months and was stuck in mental loops for up to 12 hours a day, unable to do anything. A scene from a TV show, lyrics from a song or a random joke could trigger me and send me into a spiral so I couldn't function. I thought it was the end of my life. I wanted to die because the agony and suffering were unreal. Only God knows the amount of pain I went through. I am only now starting to recover, but any amount of stress sends my nervous system into overdrive, and the loops begin again. It feels like I'm re-learning how to function in society. I have gotten closer to God, and I want to believe that there is a reason for all this to have happened, perhaps to force me into therapy to start healing from my past finally. We are truly sorry to hear about the trauma you've experienced, Tuchryth, and the subsequent mental health challenges you're facing. We are here to pray with you and encourage you in the name of Jesus Christ. We commend you for specifically mentioning God in your request. First let us begin with our attitude and heart towards you. The Apostle Paul says "Rejoice with those who rejoice and mourn with those who mourn. (Romans 12:15, WEB)" We mourn for the loss of your childhood and theburden of being adult while experiencing sexual abuse. This is not something that is ever deserved or because of your actions. You have done nothing wrong. But let us recognize that mankind is under the power of Satan until they believe in Jesus.

Before moving forward let us rebuke the enemy and know that he does not have any more power over you than you allow in your heart. Often these situations are the result of curses descending from Satan or a curse from generation after generation. Before moving forward let us go to prayer to stop and loosen the effect of these curses that have descended upon you whether from your personal decicions, descendants, spouses or anywhere else in your life from previous generations. Let us pray.

Father God, we come to you in Jesus name to pray for Tuchryth. We ask you Holy Spirit to remove all curses of sexual abuse and release in Jesus' name. We do not receive any effects from past generations and bring these curses to the cross of Jesus. We cut off these curses and do not receive these generational spirits of sexual abuse in Jesus name. Father God we ask you to deal with Satan on our behalf and bind him from descending and binding further sexual abuse into Tuchryth's life in Jesus name.

Let us rebuke the enemy. "Be of sober spirit, be on the lookout. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion,seeking someone to devour.(1 Peter 5:8, WEB)" but Jesus says "The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly.(John 10:10, WEB)" Therefore, Tuchryth take courage and rest in faith "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places(Ephesians 6:12, WEB)." Believe in the verse below to know that God has protected and witheld from you what he does not want you to experience. We do not know God's purposes but we accept them through the cross of Christ Jesus by faith and forgive the actions by those who brought this on you. Let us remember that "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.(1 Corinthians 10:13, WEB)" God is good and his plans are to keep you close to his heart.

You mentioned that you've started recovering and getting closer to God. We are encouraged by this, as drawing near to God is the first step towards healing and restoration. The psalmist says, My soul,you have searched me, and know me. You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar. You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.(Psalm 139:1-3 WEB). You are never alone only God knows what you are going through. Rest assured that God sees your pain and wants to heal you.

We pray that God will heal you completely from the trauma, OCD, and PTSD that you've experienced. We ask God for guidance and discernment to believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray God to open your heart to hear the calling in your heart and will deliver from the power of darkness and convey them into the kingdom of the son of his love,(Colossians 1:13, WEB)" the Kingdom of Jesus.

Let us continue to pray.

Father God, we lift up Tuchryth to you, asking for your healing touch on their life. Lord, you are the Great Physician, and there is no burden too heavy for you to bear. We pray that you will heal Tuchryth completely from the trauma they've experienced, and from the OCD and PTSD that have resulted from it. Please guide them to the right therapists, counselors, and support groups that can aid in their recovery. Surround them with people who will love and support them through this journey in Jesus name.

We pray that you will give Tuchryth strength and courage each day, that you will help them re-learn to function in society, and that you will use their story to help others who are going through similar experiences in Jesus name. God promise us "And we know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.(Romans 8:28, WEB)" God sees and knows there is purpose for this pain and burden. Just rest knowing that God loves you and we cannot imagine or comprehend his love.

We ask that you will draw Tuchryth closer to you, Jesus, that they will come to know you as their personal Savior,and that they will find their identity and purpose in you. We pray that you will give them a heart of forgiveness towards those who have harmed them, and God will judge and punish them if deserved. Give them strength and will to forgive and let go of people like their abusers. Continue to walk close to God Jesus and let the Holy Spirit heal your wounds and whether good or bad know we can trust Gods plans.

Remember, when we confess Jesus to be our savior, "For whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.(Romans 10:13,WEB)" and "there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!(Acts 4:12,WEB)" Do not just acknowledge Jesus but let him dwell in your heart and be your Holy Spirit. Remember to act as "faith without works is dead(James 2:26,WEB)" and act with the can do attitudes that Jesus has called us to believe.

Finally do not dwell on the things of the world and continually review old wounds. We must view everything we take into our body in light of the name of Jesus and what his plan is. It seems likely this TV show and song lyrics are leading you down a path that is not Godlike. If they continue burdening your life then throw them out and reject them in your heart. Our heart must be solid in Jesus Christ. Why reintroduce things that can bring you down and cause you to stumble. We don't entertain ourself to suicide and that is what we are being told these things are leading you towards. Pray to God to know his will in these situations and continue to strengthen your relationship against them.

God be with you in Jesus name, Tuchryth and rest assured the pain, agony, suffering, worry, fear will lessen day after day when we are "Will trust in you with all my heart,and will not lean on my own understanding. In all your ways I will acknowledge you,and you will make straight my paths(Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB)." Also we would like to pray with you Tuchryth, that you receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit if you have not already. The Holy Spirit quietly whispered in our ear, to us and for us on the inside and let us know God's plan for us and through us.

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

Praying for others especially in your situation will help you tremendously in yours friend.

Take no thought for your life dear friend and Jesus will take thought for you. Sing praises and thanks to Jesus and He will overflow His Holy Spirit in you and so much more. He will fight for you and give you the desires of your heart.

Let Us Pray: God I ask in Jesus' name, bless me to grow closer to You. I long for a more intimate relationship with You. Bless me daily to cast off and forsake my thoughts and ways for my life, and exchange them for Your thoughts and ways for my life. Let me think Your thoughts and dream Your dreams for my life. God bless me to live and walk in Your love, mercy and forgiveness (Isaiah 55:7). I confess, I will take no thought for my life. I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.
