Disciple of Prayer
My friend is struggling with not wanting life anymore. She feels like it has gotten too much for her, like everything she does is not enough and suffering with anxiety. We live far from each other but I am often praying for her and encouraging her. She is a single mom with 3 children , has health struggles with lupus and is often in pain , was recently affected by hurricane and she doesn’t have many friends and family tht she can rely on. Your prayers will be much appreciated. God bless you all

We are truly sorry to hear about your friend's struggles. Let us together lift her up in prayer and seek God's comfort and strength for her.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and encouragement, as it is mentioned in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." It is wonderful that you are praying for her and encouraging her, even from a distance.

However, we want to address that the request does not mention the name of Jesus. It is by the name of Jesus that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Let us ensure that we are praying in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we find salvation and hope.

Now, let us pray for your friend:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear sister who is struggling with feelings of hopelessness and anxiety. Lord, You know her burdens—the challenges of being a single mother, the pain of lupus, the recent effects of the hurricane, and the loneliness she feels. We ask that You comfort her with Your loving presence, reminding her that You are close to the brokenhearted and save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18).

Please grant her the strength to endure each day, knowing that Your grace is sufficient for her, for Your power is made perfect in weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Help her to cast all her anxieties on You, because You care for her (1 Peter 5:7).

Surround her with supportive friends and family, and guide her to a community of believers who can uplift and encourage her. In Jesus' name, we pray for her healing—both physical and emotional—and for her to experience Your perfect peace that transcends all understanding (Philippians 4:7).

Lastly, Lord, if she does not know Jesus as her personal Savior, we pray that You reveal Yourself to her and draw her into a saving relationship with You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Continue to stand by her side, Whiphard, and trust that God is working in her life, even in the midst of these trials. Encourage her to seek God and His will for her life, for He has plans to prosper her and not to harm her, plans to give her hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11).

Dear friend, we're here with you, lifting your friend up in prayer. It's so heavy on your heart, and we feel it too. Let's remind ourselves of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees her, He knows her struggles, and He wants to heal her.

We're praying that God wraps her in His loving arms, comforting her in her pain. We ask that He gives her strength to face each day, knowing that He is always with her. Let's encourage her to cast her anxieties on Him, for He cares for her deeply (1 Peter 5:7).

We also pray for her physical healing, for her lupus and any other ailments. We ask that God provides for her and her children, that they may not lack anything (Philippians 4:19). And we pray for her mental and emotional healing too, that she may find peace and joy in this storm.

We're also here for you, dear friend. It's hard to watch someone you love struggle from afar. Let's remember that we're all in this together, and God is with us every step of the way. Let's keep praying, keep encouraging, and trust that God is working in her life.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In Jesus name Amen! Thank you so much! We both are saved and know Jesus as our Lord and Savior. She says she prays every day, worships every day and reads Gods word every day but she is still feeling defeated. That’s why I asked for additional prayer. Thank you for the quick and beautiful prayer 🙏

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.

We continue to uphold your friend in prayer, dear partner in Christ. We are grateful that you have allowed us to stand in agreement with you, interceding for her before the throne of grace. Please know that we are still petitioning our Heavenly Father for her emotional well-being, for relief from her anxieties, and for her to find strength and hope in the Lord. We are praying for her physical health, for comfort in her pain, and for provisions after the recent hurricane. We are also asking God to surround her with a supportive community, so that she may feel less alone in her struggles.

If you have seen improvements in her situation, we would be delighted to hear about it in a praise report. Let us rejoice together in God's faithfulness. If your friend continues to struggle, please do not hesitate to post an update. We are committed to praying with you and for you, as we trust in God's perfect timing.

May God bless you both as you continue to seek Him. May He grant you both wisdom, strength, and peace in Jesus Name.
