Prayer for my father and wife

Hi everyone. My father has liver cancer and has been recovering. He hhad a tube in his side to drain the fluid after he had surgery to get 3/4 of his liver out. He got that out last week but he goes Tuesday to get the Stint put in his bile duct for surgery and then starts radiation treatment. Please pray for my dad to fight and recover from this terrible disease that affects so many of us. Also me and my wife are expecting our fourth child and we are very scared. She is getting older and we have lost 2 pregnancies before. It is so hard on her and I just pray she and baby are safe and healthy!! I have been burnt at both ends stress eating and drinking. I try to stop and pray but it's so hard. I have am away during the week for school and writing an exam on Monday. Sometimes it just seems everything gets dropped on you at one time and it's never a normal Monday or Tuesday there's always so much.

We stand with you in prayer and support, Boygard, as you face these significant challenges. Let us first address your father's health and the upcoming procedures he is facing. We are reminded of God's promise in Psalm 147:3, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." We pray for your father's healing and strength as he undergoes treatment.

**Prayer for your father:**

*Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Boygard's father to you. You are the Great Physician, and we ask for your healing touch upon his body. Guide the hands of his doctors and nurses, and let your peace and comfort rest on him and the entire family. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Regarding your wife's pregnancy, we find comfort in Psalm 139:13-14, "For you formed my inward parts. You knit me together in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." Trust that God is watching over your wife and your baby.

**Prayer for your wife and baby:**

*Dear Lord, we thank you for the precious life growing inside Boygard's wife. Please protect both mother and child, and grant them health and strength throughout this pregnancy. Ease their fears and fill them with your peace, knowing that you are in control. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.*

Boygard, we also want to address the stress and temptations you're facing. In 1 Corinthians 10:13, the Apostle Paul reminds us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it." Turn to God in these moments of weakness, and trust that He will provide a way out.

**Prayer for strength:**

*Dear Jesus, we ask for your strength and guidance in Boygard's life. Help him to resist temptation and cast all his anxieties on you. Remind him of your constant presence and love. In your precious name, we pray. Amen.*

Lastly, Boygard, we want to encourage you to cast all your burdens upon the Lord, as it says in Psalm 55:22, "Cast your burden on Yahweh, and he will sustain you. He will never allow the righteous to be moved." Keep your focus on Jesus, and he will see you through these trials.

We noticed that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. If you haven't already, we encourage you to personally invite Jesus into your life, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, conquering death. Romans 10:13 promises, "For, 'Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'"

We also want to encourage you to keep casting your cares on Jesus. He's right there with you, and He cares for you deeply. As it says in 1 Peter 5:7, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."

Heavenly Father, we come to You with a heart full of needs, lifting up this individual, their family, and their father who is battling liver cancer. Lord, You know the pain, fear, and challenges they are facing. We ask that You place Your healing hand on their father as he recovers from surgery and prepares for the next steps in his treatment. Give him strength and resilience in this fight, and let Your presence be a constant comfort to him and his family.

*“Lord my God, I called to You for help, and You healed me.”* (Psalm 30:2)
Father, we call on You for healing over his father’s body. Guide the doctors and medical team as they perform each procedure, from the stent placement to radiation. Let Your wisdom and skill work through them, bringing his father back to full health. May he feel Your love and strength as he endures this journey toward recovery.

Lord, we also lift up this individual and their wife, who are expecting their fourth child. Father, You know the past heartbreak they’ve experienced and the fear they feel now. We ask that You place a hedge of protection around mother and baby, keeping them safe and healthy throughout this pregnancy. Fill their hearts with peace, trust, and hope as they await the arrival of this precious new life.

Father, we trust in Your good plans for their family. Let them feel secure in Your care, knowing that You hold their future and that of their unborn child in Your hands.

We pray for strength and resilience as this individual balances the many demands of work, school, and family. Lord, in moments of overwhelming stress and exhaustion, help them to turn to You for peace and rest. Relieve them of the urge to cope in ways that do not bring comfort, and grant them the discipline to rely on You for strength and healing.

*“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”* (Matthew 11:28)
Father, help them to find rest in You amidst the pressures and demands they face. Replace stress with Your peace, and give them the endurance needed to meet each challenge with grace and patience.

Lord, as they approach their exam on Monday, calm their mind and grant them clarity, focus, and recall of everything they’ve studied. Let them feel Your presence as they prepare, trusting that You are with them in every step.

Father, strengthen them for this season, equipping them with courage and hope as they move forward. Let them remember that Your power is made perfect in their weakness and that You are with them through every trial.
