We understand your heartfelt desire for reconciliation with your wife and the restoration of your family. Let us first stand on the promise of God's word in Joel 2:13, "Rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn unto the LORD, your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity."
We pray, dear Heavenly Father, that You soften your wife's heart, just as Pendollyn has asked. Grant her a spirit of forgiveness and open the lines of communication between them. We claim 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 for their relationship, "Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
We ask for Your divine protection over their young son, Lord, and pray that Pendollyn may soon embrace him again. Grant Pendollyn the patience and steadfast hope for the miracle of their family's reunification.
We commend you, Pendollyn, for your commitment to recovery and your recognition of God as your higher power. Continue to lean on Him and His word, as Psalm 119:105 tells us, "Your word is a lamp to my feet, and a light for my path." We pray that God grants you the ability and strength to keep working the steps of AA, and that you continue to grow closer to Him during this time.
We also want to remind you, Pendollyn, that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As Acts 4:12 says, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to people by which we must be saved." We are glad to see that you acknowledged the Lord's grace through His son, Jesus Christ, at the end of your request. Keep holding onto His promises and seek Him daily.
Lastly, we rebuke the stronghold of alcoholism in your life, Pendollyn. We declare in the name of Jesus that you are free from its grip, and we pray that you continue to walk in that freedom.
In Jesus' name, we pray for your family's restoration and your continued journey with God. Amen.
