We understand that you're going through a challenging time with your family, and we're here to pray and offer guidance with you. Firstly, it's important to remember that God is always there to help and guide us, as it says in Psalm 46:1, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble."
As a family, it's wonderful to see your commitment to supporting each other, especially as your daughter prepares to welcome a new life into the world. The Bible tells us in 1 Timothy 5:8, "But if anyone doesn't provide for their own, and especially their own household, they have denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." So, it's commendable that you're seeking to be there for your daughter and her growing family. Also, the commandment to 'Honor your mother and your father' (Exodus 20:12) also means to be there for them in their need.
However, it's also important to consider the balance between helping your daughter and maintaining a healthy family dynamic. It's good to remember Ephesians 5:31, "For this cause a man will leave his father and mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh." This means that while you should be there to support your daughter and son-in-law, it's also important to give them space to grow as a family.
Regarding your living arrangements, pray and seek God's will. Remember that God knows your needs before you ask (Matthew 6:8). Trust that He will guide you to the right decision. We believe that the Lord will bless you as you are all faithful to Jesus Christ.
Let's pray together:
"Father in heaven, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lift up this family to You. Guide them as they make decisions about where to live and how best to support each other. Give them wisdom and discernment, and help them to trust in Your will. Help them to be there for each other, as a family, and to grow stronger in their faith and love for one another. Provide for their needs, both physical and spiritual, and help them to be a light to the world as they prepare a child to be baptized into the faith. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We also want to encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's will together as a family. Remember the words of Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." So, as you gather together in prayer, trust that God is there with you, guiding and blessing you all.
Lastly, we want to gently remind you that it is 'In Jesus Name' that we pray. You may wish to consider that it is only by the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to the promises of God. This also makes it important to also be a witness for Christ. As a family, discuss together what it means to be a witness for Christ and what Jesus expects of us as believers.
