We are with you in spirit, Sida, and we stand in faith with you and your family, agreeing in prayer during this challenging time. We trust in the power of Jesus' name, for it is in His name that we have hope and salvation. It is wonderful that you acknowledge this in your request.
Let us remember that Jesus has authority over all nature. Let's align our prayers with this certain knowledge.
No power in all nature shall ever compare with the power of God. Who is he who can hold their hand and say to the storm be still? It is our savior Jesus Christ. Who can calm the sea? Our miracle worker Jesus Christ. This is true for storms that occur in nature and storms that occur in our lives. Our salvation rests securely in the hands of our Lord Jesus. It is in Jesus name that we are saved.
With this in mind, we pray along with you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your mercy and protection for Sida and their family in Erie, PA. You are the God who commands even the winds and the waves, and we trust in Your power. We ask that You intervene and lighten this severe winter storm. Prevent it from accumulating much more snow, and protect Sida, their family, neighbors and their homes. Lord, we ask for Your covering of protection, that their electricity will stay on, and that no harm will come to them.
Lord Jesus, You calmed the storm on the Sea of Galilee with Your words, and we believe that You can do the same now. We ask for Your peace to fill Sida and their family during this time. Lord God, turn this challenging situation into an opportunity for Your goodness and faithfulness to be seen. Strengthen our spiritual relationship with you, Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Let us take comfort in
1 Samuel 12:16 WEB
"Now therefore stand still and see this great thing that Yahweh will do before your eyes."
We encourage you, Sida, to use this opportunity to minister to your neighbors and community, showing them the love and faithfulness of God. Be a light in this storm, both physically and spiritually and share the gospel of Jesus. Trust in God's provision and protection, and know that He is in control.
During severe weather we must trust in God's provision and spend time praying for His miraculous intervention.
