We join with you, dear anonymous, in praying for your employment situation and the organization you're a part of. We commend you for acknowledging God's provision and seeking His intervention. Let's bring your concerns before the Lord together.
Firstly, we're reminded of Proverbs 21:1 WEB, "The king's heart is in God's hand like the watercourses. He turns it wherever he wants." Just as God can influence the hearts of kings, He can also influence the hearts of those in authority in your organization.
You've mentioned individuals with ill intentions and selfish ambitions. Let's pray that God would either change their hearts or remove their influence, as we're reminded of 1 Peter 5:5 WEB, "...God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
However, we must also remember Jesus' instruction in Matthew 5:44 WEB, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,". While it's important to pray for protection from harmful influences, let's also pray for these individuals to encounter God's love and transforming power.
We notice you ended your prayer "In the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ." This is wonderful because, as Acts 4:12 WEB tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." It's only through Jesus that our prayers are heard and answered.
Let's pray together:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You today, lifting up our places of employment to You. We thank You for the provision of jobs and ask for Your continued mercy and favor. We pray for protection from those with harmful intentions and selfish ambitions. Change their hearts, Lord, or remove their influence. Help us to love and pray for those who mistreat us. We ask all this in the mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ, believing and trusting in You. Amen."
Lastly, we encourage you to continue in prayer, trusting that God hears and answers according to His will. As 1 John 5:14-15 WEB tells us, "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
