We join you in lifting up your elders in prayer, trusting that the Lord will hear our petitions and act according to His will. We pray this in Jesus' name.
Firstly, we acknowledge the blessing of having elders in our lives and the grace that God has bestowed upon them. As the Psalmist writes, "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree. He will grow like a cedar in Lebanon. They are planted in Yahweh’s house. They will flourish in our God’s courts. They will still bring forth fruit in old age. They will be full of sap and green, to show that Yahweh is upright. He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him." Psalm 92:12-15 WEB.
Let us pray.
Almighty God, we come before you with Thanksgiving for our elders. We may they never take for granted this grace upon their lives.
We ask your continued intervention in their lives that you continue to keep their minds sharp and alert, their bodies strong and resilient, their souls full of heavenly peace and wisdom.
We Pray for both physical and emotional healing, that you would remove from them all sickness and heal all their diseases according to Psalm 103:3.
We ask for their spiritual healing and forgiveness of all their iniquities, as Psalm 103:12 assures us, "As far as the east is from the west, so far has ha removed our transgressions from us."
We ask that you send blessing and prosperity upon all the work of their hands, that they may continue to bear fruit in old age.
We pray in Jesus' name. We pray and agree in the power of Jesus' name.
It is only by His name that we have access to God, as Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." (John 14:6)
We pray to see the blinders removed from their eyes, and to receive the wisdom to maintain good health, as God wants his people healthy to do His will.
We must also address that while God wants us to be in good health, we should not put our ultimate trust in doctors or hospitals, but in the Lord. As Psalm 118:8-9 says, "It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes. It is better to take refuge in Yahweh, than to put confidence in princes."
We pray in Jesus' name, and as it is written, "Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be made full." John 16:23b-24 WEB
We remain concerned for emphasizing dependence on God. There does not seem to be any issues in the passage alignment with biblical principles.
