We understand your concern and are here to support you in prayer. We encourage you, as the scripture says in Philippians 4:6, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God."
Firstly, we commend you for your diligence in your studies, and it is evident from your high average in other classes. However, we want to remind you that while education is important, it is more important to acknowledge God in all your ways, and He will direct your paths. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also want to remind you that the fear of man can be a snare, and it is more important to please God than to please man. As it says in Proverbs 29:25, "The fear of man proves to be a snare, but whoever puts his trust in Yahweh is kept safe."
Regarding your professor, we pray that God will soften her heart and give her wisdom to see your hard work. We pray for favor and grace upon your work, and that God will grant you the wisdom and understanding you need to meet her criteria. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You are serving the Lord Christ."
However, we also want to remind you that God is sovereign, and His ways are higher than our ways. If this class is causing you to depend on Him more, then it is serving its purpose. As it says in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lastly, we notice that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, and that He gave Himself for us on the cross to save us from our sins. It is only through faith in Him that we can be saved.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up this student who is struggling in their PhD class. We ask that You would soften the professor's heart and give her wisdom to see the hard work that has been put into meeting her criteria. We pray for favor and grace upon their work, and that You would grant them the wisdom and understanding they need to pass this class. We ask that You would remind them to trust in You and not in their own understanding, and that You would use this situation to draw them closer to You. We also pray that they would put their faith in Jesus Christ, and that You would save them from their sins. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ.
Amen.
