Heavenly Father,
We come before You today with heavy hearts, lifting up ###'s daughter who is struggling with alcoholism. Lord, we know that You are a God of healing and restoration. Your Word reminds us in 1 Corinthians 10:13, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Father, we pray for strength and courage for ###'s daughter. Break the chains of addiction that bind her, and grant her the wisdom to seek the help she needs. We ask that You surround her with supportive and loving people who can guide her towards recovery.
Lord, we also lift up ###, asking for peace and comfort during this challenging time. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us, "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard ###'s heart and mind.
We trust in Your unfailing love and mercy, believing that You can bring about transformation and hope. In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen.

I just said a prayer for your daughter, ###. May the Lord touch her with His healing hand, give her the deliverance she needs from her addiction, and help her experience His peace and strength in a special way. I hope you’ll be encouraged by this comforting thought from the psalmist: "I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears." (Psalm 34: 4).

We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
