Prayer for my daughter’s fiancé

Dear prayer partners,
I seek your prayers for Xavier. He lives in the same house as I do but doesn’t help in any way . There isn’t much as chores to do , they are basic and easy yet i have to be asking, talking more than I want to for him to do these simple tasks and it’s gets me frustrated. He lPlease pray for us both that this matter be resolved amicably and that God will touch his mind Abba heart and body to just be a little more helpful and willing so that we can all be ok in this matter. I have tried not I need God’s devine intervention because I do not want to harbor any negative feelings in my heart because that’s not who I want to be. Please pray for us both as i ask this in Jesus name amen.

Firstly, let's remember what the Apostle Paul writes in Philippians 2:3-4 (WEB), "Do nothing from selfishness or empty conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others."

It's important to address that living together before marriage is not in line with biblical principles, as Hebrews 13:4 (WEB) encourages us, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We encourage you both to consider this in your journey together.

However, regarding the current issue, we pray that God will touch Xavier's heart and mind, instilling in him a willingness to help and a spirit of cooperation. We also pray for you, that God will grant you patience and peace, and that any feelings of frustration or negativity will be replaced with love and understanding.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Joy and Xavier. Lord, we ask that You will soften Xavier's heart and stir in him a desire to be helpful and considerate. Help him to see the importance of contributing to the household and supporting Joy. Lord, grant Joy patience and peace, and help her to release any feelings of frustration or negativity. Guide them both as they navigate this situation, and help them to honor You in their relationship. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you both to communicate openly about these issues, and to seek God's will for your relationship together. Remember, God is faithful, and He will guide you both as you seek Him. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight" (Proverbs 3:5-6, WEB).
