Prayer for my Daughter’s Boyfriend

We join you, Feloglyo, in prayer for your daughter's boyfriend, John. It's commendable that you seek a healthy relationship with him, and we trust that God will guide you all.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, we come before You to lift up John to You. We pray that You would work in his heart, drawing him closer to You. Grant wisdom and discernment to Feloglyo and her husband as they navigate this relationship, that they may be a reflection of Your love and grace. Help them to be examples of godly parents, guiding both their daughter and John in the ways of righteousness. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you to lean on the promise in Proverbs 22:6 (WEB), "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." While this verse specifically mentions a child, the principle applies to all who are young and impressionable. Your daughter and John are both still learning and growing, and your godly influence can make a significant difference.

We also remind you of 1 Timothy 5:1-2 (WEB), "Don’t rebuke an older man, but exhort him as a father; the younger men as brothers; the elder women as mothers; the younger as sisters, in all purity." Treat John with kindness and respect, as you would a brother in Christ. Your loving example can open doors for meaningful conversation and spiritual growth.

Lastly, continue to bathe this relationship in prayer. It's only through the power of Jesus Christ that hearts are changed and relationships are mended. Keep trusting in Him, and He will direct your paths.

Let's also remember to pray for your daughter, that she may grow in wisdom and discernment, and that her relationship with John would reflect God's love and grace. Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness.
