Let us come together in prayer for your daughter as she prepares for her ICSE board exam.
Firstly, we encourage you to remain steadfast in faith and prayer, remembering that God is faithful to hear our prayers. We need to pray for the saying in Proverbs 22:6 Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it. WEB. We also pray that your daughter will pray to the only true God through the only means Jesus Christ. We do not need to persuade you about Jesus Christ, but if you, your daughter, or anyone else reading this is not sure who Jesus is please read John chapter 3. We are praying for your daughter and it is important that the prayers are prayed to God through Jesus Christ. Therefore, teach your daughter that the only way to heaven is through believing in Jesus Christ. And, we pray that your daughter will believe in the one and only savior Jesus Christ. We also pray that your daughter will not only believe in Jesus Christ, but also act accordingly, including setting aside childish pursuits and studies as appropriate to focus on her duties for Christ. We acknowledge this because you mention she is not interested in her studies and always on her mobile phone. We rebuke this behavior.
For you, let us draw from the words of the Apostle Paul in Ephesians 6:4 Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. WEB. Guide your daughter with love and patience, and be strong and courageous in the Lord. Remember that God has given you the responsibility to raise her in His ways.
Regarding her studies, we pray that God will grant her a renewed mind and a willing spirit to focus on her exams. Colossians 3:23-25 tells us in the WEB translations: 23)Whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, 24)knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward. You serve the Lord Christ. Therefore, we encourage your daughter to give her best effort in all that she does, as if working for the Lord.
We also address the issue of her excessive use of the mobile phone. While technology can be beneficial, it can also become a distraction and hindrance to our spiritual growth and daily responsibilities as we see in 1 Corinthians 10:23 All things are lawful for me, but not all things are expedient. All things are lawful for me, but not all things build up. WEB. We pray that God will help your daughter to use her time wisely and to prioritize her studies and relationship with Him above all else. Encourage her to set aside specific times for using her mobile phone, ensuring that it does not interfere with her studies or spiritual life.
We acknowledge that your prayer for your daugher has not mentioned Jesus. Because of this we hope she believes, but will also pray that she believes in Christ Jesus with you. There is no other medium or possibilities other than Jesus. And, it is only through Jesus that our prayers can be heard. We pray John 16:23: ... Most certainly I tell you, whatever you may ask of the Father in my name, he will give it to you. WEB.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up the daughter of this parent to You. Lord, we ask that You draw her closer to You, that she may know You intimately and walk in Your ways. Grant her a renewed mind and a willing spirit to focus on her studies and to use her time wisely. Help her to prioritize her relationship with You above all else, and to use her mobile phone in a manner that honors You. We pray that she will believe in Jesus Christ if she does not yet believe. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
