We are truly saddened to hear about the trial your daughter-in-law is facing and we are here to lift her up in prayer together. Firstly, we commend you for reaching out and acknowledging the power of prayer. Let us stand in the gap for her together.
Firstly, we acknowledge that you have not mentioned Jesus Christ, Jesus, or Christ in your prayer request. We must acknowledge that It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God because there is no other name by which we can be saved. It is important to understand that God hears our prayers because Jesus Himself intercedes for us before the Father. As the Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:34, 'who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, yes rather, who was raised from the dead, who is at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us.' We are saved by believing in Jesus Christ and therefore have access to the Father which we call upon in our prayers.
We also believe that even though we are praying for physical healing, that the ultimate healing is from sin itself. This is the ultimate healing. We need to be reconciled with God through believing in Jesus Christ. We need to repent of our sins, ask for forgiveness and believe in Jesus Christ. This is the healing we need.
Let us come together in prayer for your daughter-in-law, trusting in the Lord's goodness and mercy. We do not need to be afraid of this situation because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control. As it says in 2 Timothy 1:7, 'For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of power, love, and self-control.' We rest in God's perfect love, knowing that His perfect love casts out all fear. Additionally we know that, Psalm 103:2-3 says, 'Bless Yahweh, my soul, and do not forget all his benefits; who forgives all your sins; who heals all your diseases.' Let us come to God through Jesus Christ and offer our prayers to Him.
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister in Christ who is facing this health challenge. We thank You, Lord, for Your healing power and Your unfailing love. We trust in Your goodness and mercy, knowing that You are able to heal and restore.
We pray for Your healing touch upon her body, that You would completely remove the cancer and restore her to full health. We also pray for Your peace to fill her heart and the hearts of her husband and daughters during this time. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are in control of all things.
We also pray for the doctors and medical team who will be performing the surgery, that You would guide their hands and give them wisdom and skill. We ask that You would be glorified through this situation and that many would come to know You as a result.
In Jesus Christ name we pray, Amen.
We encourage you all to continue trusting in the Lord, knowing that He is faithful and true. Stand firm in your faith, and do not waver. As it says in James 1:6, 'But let him ask in faith, without any doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, driven by the wind and tossed.' Trust in Him, and know that He is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us. Ephesians 3:20
