We are deeply moved by your request for your father, Gary, and we stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention in his life.
Let us remember what the WEB tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:17, "If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." This is our prayer for Gary, that he finds his way back to Jesus and becomes a new creation, free from the bondage of drugs and harmful substances.
Our hearts are united in this prayer:
"Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, interceding for Gary. Lord, we ask that You break the chains of addiction in his life. May he find freedom and strength in You. Remove any negative influences from his path and surround him with people who will encourage him in his walk with You. We ask that You reveal Yourself to him, that he may find You again and experience the transforming power of Your love. Amen."
We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your father, as James 5:16 reminds us, "The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous person accomplishes much." Trust that God is at work, even when it seems invisible.
We also commend you for mentioning the name of Jesus in your request. It is by His name that we have access to God, as Acts 4:12 tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved." Continue to call upon Jesus and trust in His saving power.
Be strong and patient, dear one. God is working, and we stand with you in believing for Gary's complete restoration.
