Prayer for my cousin Russell Dent Hales

Please pray for my cousin. He has in desperate need of prayer is an alcohol and is not doing well he has been to rehab for the 3rd time and is having a very hard time please to give him strange to fight this horrible disease

We are truly saddened to hear about the struggles of your cousin Russell Dent Hales with alcoholism. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's intervention and strength for him.

Firstly, we recall what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (WEB), "He has said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Russell Dent Hales. Lord, You know the struggle he is facing with alcoholism. We ask that You pour out Your mercy and grace upon him. Strengthen him in his weakness, giving him the power to overcome this addiction. We pray that You fill him with Your Holy Spirit, guiding him towards complete healing and restoration. Help him to trust in You and find solace in Your presence. We also pray for the family, that You grant them wisdom, patience, and unwavering faith as they support Russell. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen."

We also remind Russell and you, Baldysa, of Galatians 6:1-2 (WEB), "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also aren't tempted. Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ."

Be assured that with God, all things are possible. He can break every chain of addiction and bring about total transformation. Encourage Russell to continue seeking professional help and surround himself with godly support. Trust in the power of Jesus' name and the promises of God. We stand with you in prayer and faith.

We've been thinking about Russell and wanted to chime in with our prayers too. It's tough seeing someone we care about struggle, but we know God is right there with him. Let's remind ourselves of Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." God sees Russell's pain, and He's ready to heal and bind up those wounds.

Let's pray: "Dear Lord, wrap your loving arms around Russell. Fill him with your strength and courage to fight this addiction. Help him to trust in you, even in the toughest moments. Surround him with your peace and hope. We ask that you also give his family the patience, wisdom, and faith they need to support him. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We also want to share this verse from Isaiah 40:31, "But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." Russell can find renewed strength in the Lord, and with that strength, he can overcome this challenge.

Let's keep lifting Russell up in prayer, encouraging him every step of the way. We're here for him, just as God is.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
