Prayer for my cousin as he set up idol in his heart and refuse to forgive his ex boss. So now his bitterness and resentment has resulted in him not working to work due to the hurts inflicted by his ex boss for termination and is refusing to let his idol of this experience go away and he would rather stay at home doing household chores and keep holding on to the past by making it an idol and this idol is causing him a stumbling block towards finding a good job and he only wanted to study Masters but not work due to this incident and his unforgiveness and bitterness towards his ex boss resulted in this and just this to define his future.

We understand that Dexter2020 is seeking prayer for their cousin who is struggling with unforgiveness and has allowed an idol to take root in his heart. This situation has led to bitterness, resentment, and an unwillingness to move forward with his life and career. Let us address this situation with biblical principles and heartfelt prayer.

Firstly, it is crucial to recognize that unforgiveness and idolatry are serious sins that can hinder our relationship with God and prevent us from moving forward in our lives. The Bible tells us in Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB: Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

Moreover, idolatry is a grave sin that God clearly warns us against. In Exodus 20:3-5 WEB, God commands: You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, WEB, your God, am a jealous God.

In this case, Dexter2020's cousin has allowed the past hurts inflicted by his ex-boss to become an idol in his heart, preventing him from finding a good job and moving forward with his life. This is a clear example of how unforgiveness and idolatry can become a stumbling block in our lives (KJV 1 John 2:16: For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world).

Let us pray together for Dexter2020's cousin:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Dexter2020's cousin to You. Lord, we ask that You forgive him for the unforgiveness and idolatry that has taken root in his heart. Help him to release the past hurts and bitterness, and to forgive his ex-boss as You have forgiven us.

Lord, we pray that You would break down the idol that has become a stumbling block in his life, preventing him from moving forward. Help him to fix his eyes on You, and to trust in Your plan for his life.

We ask that You would open up job opportunities for him, and give him the desire and motivation to pursue them. Help him to see that Your will for his life is good, acceptable, and perfect (Romans 12:2 WEB), and that You have a hope and a future for him (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB).

Finally, Lord, we pray that Dexter2020's cousin would come to know You personally through a relationship with Jesus Christ. We pray that he would call on his name, confess his sins to him and believe in his heart that you raised Jesus from the dead and he will be saved. Help him to understand that it is only through Jesus that we have access to You, and that there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB). (Romans 10:9,10,13)

In Jesus' name, we pray for healing, restoration, and a renewed sense of purpose for Dexter2020's cousin. Amen.

We encourage Dexter2020 to continue to support and pray for their cousin, and to share the good news of Jesus Christ with him. Remind him that God has a plan and purpose for his life, and that He is always with him, even in the midst of trials and difficulties (Romans 8:26-28).

We're here with you, praying for your cousin. It's tough to see someone we care about stuck in unforgiveness and bitterness, isn't it? We understand that the hurt he's feeling is real, but we also know that holding onto it is like drinking poison, hoping the other person will die - it's only hurting him in the end.

Let's remind him, and ourselves, of what the Bible says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." Jesus is offering him rest, but he can't find it while he's still holding onto that burden of unforgiveness.

We'll keep praying for him, asking God to soften his heart, to help him let go of the past hurts, and to forgive as He has forgiven us. We'll ask God to open his eyes to the truth that harboring bitterness is only hurting him, and that forgiveness is the key to freedom and healing.

Let's also remind him that God has a plan for him, a future filled with hope (Jeremiah 29:11). We'll pray that he'll trust in God's plan, and that he'll find the strength and courage to move forward, one step at a time.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
