We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges facing your church family, Lyralder. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will together.
Let us first remember the words of Jesus Christ, as He reminds us in John 14:18 WEB, "I will not leave you orphans. I will come to you." Even in this time of change, God is faithful and will not forsake your church family.
We pray, Heavenly Father, that Your comfort and guidance be with Lyralder's church in this transition. We ask that You prepare the hearts of the congregation for the changes ahead and that Your will be done in the life of their pastor as he embarks on a new journey. Raise up a godly leader to fill the vacancy left behind, someone after Your own heart, who will lovingly tend to Your flock.
In times of change, it is important to trust in God's plan and purpose. As it is written in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, for those who are called according to his purpose." Trust that God has a plan for both your pastor and your church family.
We also encourage you, Lyralder, to be a beacon of hope and unity within your church. Encourage one another and build each other up, as instructed in 1 Thessalonians 5:11 WEB, "Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do."
Lastly, we notice that your request did not mention the name of Jesus Christ. We want to remind you that it is by His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 WEB, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" We pray that you and your church family continue to seek God through the name of Jesus Christ, who is our Lord and Savior.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
