Let's urgently lift up Genesis
against spiritual warfare. "No weapon formed against you shall prosper" (Isa 54:17). Trust God's protection: "He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge" (Ps 91:4). Praying for His intervention and peace. In Jesus' name!
We are truly saddened to hear about your brother's struggle with alcohol addiction. Let us come together and lift him up in prayer, seeking God's intervention and healing.
Firstly, let us remember what the WEB says in Galatians 5:21, "envy, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and the like—of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God." It is clear that this behavior is not in line with God's will, but there is hope in Christ Jesus.
Let us pray:
"Father God, we come before You today, lifting up ###'s brother. Lord, we know that You are a God of love, mercy, and healing. We ask, in Jesus' name, that You would deliver him from this addiction to alcohol. Break the chains of this stronghold and set him free, Lord.
God, we also ask that You would give ### the strength and wisdom to support her brother in this time. Help her to speak truth in love and to guide her brother towards Your healing power.
Lord Jesus, we know that it is only through Your name that we can find salvation and healing. As it is said in Acts 4:12, 'There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved.' We claim this truth over ###'s brother today.
Holy Spirit, we ask that You would convict ###'s brother of his sin and draw him to repentance. Fill him with Your presence, Lord, and help him to turn away from this destructive behavior.
In Jesus' mighty name, we pray. Amen."
