Werai, let's begin by remembering that our faith and trust should ultimately be placed in the Lord Jesus Christ, not in any human being. While it's natural to seek encouragement and support in our relationships, we must ensure that our hope and faith are rooted in God alone. For truly, it is only the name of Jesus Christ that we can be saved and have access to God. Therefore, Werai, please examine yourself to determine if you have accepted Jesus Christ as your personal saviour.
It is wonderful that you are seeking motivation and encouragement, but let's consider what the WEB says about relationships. Firstly, it's important to note that the Bible encourages us to be equally yoked with fellow believers. As it is written, Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? And what communion hath light with darkness? (WEB, II Corinthians 6:14).
So, we should first ask is your boyfriend a saved Christian believer in Christ Jesus? If not, then you should not be in this relationship and you should break it off now.
Motivation could come from praises from your boyfriend. However, all praises belong to God, and we should praise God and God alone. Let him who boasts boast in the Lord. therefore take care to avoid seeking this type of motivation.
Since you used boyfriend, we should not be looking at this as a married relationship. Having a boyfriend is not acknowledged in the Bible. We either are married or we are single.
