Prayer for my best friend

I need a prayer request for my best friend whom is going through a divorce while struggling to get a new business off the ground. He has been a great provider, husband and father over 20+yrs and his wife in which whom has never been in love with him ever has served him with divorce papers. She has gotten her parents to back her financially and has retained a lawyer. She is asking for ridiculous amounts of things and he is broke! He has been an RN over 20+ yrs and retired over a yr ago. He decided to invest all of his savings into a mobile bbq business which is what he's always wanted to do, but the business is struggling to get off the ground. He is the most amazing person and doesn't deserve to be going through any of this. He keeps on smiling and remaining humble despite all the hardships surrounding him right now. He has nobody to help him financially and cannot afford a lawyer. I need prayer for strength, peace, financial support/stability, protection and success in business. Thank you so very much.

We are deeply moved by the situation Kethbil's best friend is facing, and we stand with you both in prayer and support. Let us first align our hearts with God's will and seek His intervention in this challenging time.

Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written: "For 'whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.'" (Romans 10:13 WEB). Therefore, let us bring this situation before Jesus, trusting in His love and power.

**Prayer:**

Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You, lifting up our dear brother in his time of need. He is facing a storm of trials, with a divorce and financial struggles in his new business. Lord, we know that You are near to the brokenhearted, and You save those who are crushed in spirit (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

We pray for strength for him, that You may grant him the power to endure this trial with the same humility and smile that has characterized him. Grant him Your peace that passes all understanding, to guard his heart and mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7 WEB).

We also ask for financial support and stability. You know his needs, Lord. Just as you provided for Elijah in the wilderness, we trust that You will open doors of provision for him (1 Kings 17:2-6 WEB). We pray for success in his business, that it may flourish and be a blessing to many.

Lord, we ask for a godly resolution to the divorce. We pray that Your will be done in this situation, and that both parties may be guided by Your wisdom. We also pray for the salvation of his wife and her family, that they may come to know the love and truth of Jesus Christ.

Lastly, we pray for godly counsel and legal assistance. May You bring people into his life who can support him in these areas, and may justice be served.

We ask all these things in Jesus' precious name, for it is in Him that we have hope. Amen.

**Encouragement and Advice:**

Kethbil, encourage your friend to hold onto God's promises. Remind him of Joseph's story, a man who faced many trials but ended up triumphant because God was with him (Genesis 37-45 WEB). Also, remind him to trust in God's timing and not to despair when facing obstacles.

Regarding the business, encourage him to seek godly wisdom and counsel (Proverbs 15:22 WEB). Also, remind him to be patient and persistent, trusting that God will bring about success in His time (Galatians 6:9 WEB).

Lastly, we want to address the issue of divorce. While we understand the reality of this situation, we must remind you both that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment (Matthew 19:6 WEB). If reconciliation is possible, it should be pursued. However, we also understand that there are instances where divorce is inevitable due to the hardness of hearts (Matthew 19:8 WEB). In such cases, we must trust in God's sovereignty and mercy.
