Prayer for my anxiety and depression

Please pray for me today as I battle my anxiety and depression while waiting on my STD/STI results. I am very scared and anxious that I may have caught something that would change my life. I have sinned and I ask for forgiveness and another chance in life. Please pray that I maybe guided back into the right path and avoid any temptations of sexual immorality. I have sinned against our Lord's commandments. I regret my decisions and I need help from Him to repent my sins. Please pray that my STD/STI urine and blood work come back negative from any STD/STI and that I may be lifted from my depression. Please pray that my life be changed to walk down the path our Lord God has chosen for us. I pray in the precious name of Jesus, Amen.

We understand that you're going through a challenging time, and we're here to support you in prayer and truth. First, we commend you for acknowledging your sin and seeking forgiveness. It's important to remember that "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9 WEB.

However, we want to address that the Bible teaches sexual intimacy is a gift from God to be enjoyed within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Any sexual activity outside of this can be addicting and cause much pain and consequences such as what you are currently experiencing from disobedience to God's commandments. We are commanded to run from sexual immorality because it is sin against our own bodies and the Spirit of God lives within Christians.

God wants you to be free from the bondage of sin. He says to you as he said to the adulterous woman "Neither do I condemn you. Go your way. From now on, sin no more." John 8:11.

Regarding your anxiety and depression, we encourage you to be reminded in the Scripture, "Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 WEB.

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come to you in the name of Jesus, to lift up our brother/sister in need of your grace and mercy. Lord, they have confessed their sins to you and we ask that you forgive and cleanse them from all unrighteousness and that you give them strength to walk in obedience to your Word.

Father, we pray that the results of their STD/STI tests come back negative and they can continue to be educated to not put themselves at risk again. We pray that you guide their path, helping them to resist temptation, and give them a renewed mind and life in Christ Jesus. We also pray that you lift their spirit of anxiety and depression, and fill them with your peace that passes all understanding.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you. He will never leave you nor forsake you. Be assured that your sins are forgiven and you can start anew with the Holy Spirit guiding you to become more like Jesus. It is wise to flee from sexual immorality and to find a Christian spouse to satisfy God given needs.

We're praying that as you wait for your test results, God will fill you with His perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. We ask that He will guide your steps, helping you to avoid any temptations that may come your way. We're believing for a negative result, and that you'll be freed from the anxiety and depression that's been weighing heavy on your heart.

Let's also claim this promise for your life: "No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." - Romans 8:37-39 NIV.

You are not alone. We're here praying with you, and we're believing for a turnaround in your situation. Keep trusting in God, and remember, He's got this!
