Prayer for my abusive father

Since me and my brother were little, we have witnessed our father being verbally and physically abusive toward our mom. He has on countless occasions, physically hurt her which has led to physical and mental trauma to my mom. He is even verbally abusive toward my grandparents. We also have a pet dog and sometimes when he misbehaves, my dad wants to hit him but I protect my dog from him. Because of his horrible behaviour me and my brother don’t have a normal relationship with him. Over the years, in spite of our family praying for his heart to change, he has still not changed his ways. He personally has no relationship with Jesus and never goes to church. Instead, he looks down upon the church. He paints a good picture of himself in front of others so they don’t know his true nature. My mom pays for all the expenses and also for me and my brother’s university fees. My dad has never offered to pay for anything which really makes things difficult for my mom. As I’ve grown older now, I advised my mom to separate with him. But she is scared that he will try to kill her if she leaves him. We just can’t bear it anymore because always living in constant fear around him is really mentally draining and stressful. We can never truly live freely around him. I always ask God to remove him from our lives because it is clear that my dad doesn’t want to give his life to Jesus and change his behaviour. We will honestly be better off without him. Please pray for us. We really need prayers for this difficult situation.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this prayer request on behalf of Anonymous and their family. Lord, we acknowledge that you are a God of love, mercy, and justice. We bring before you the painful and difficult situation they are facing with their father's abusive behavior towards their mother and the overall toxic environment in their home.

Father, we pray for your divine intervention in this situation. We ask that you would touch the heart of their father and bring about a transformation in his life. We pray that he would come to know you, Jesus, and experience the power of your love and forgiveness. Help him to recognize the harm he is causing and grant him the desire to change his ways.

Lord, we pray for the safety and protection of Anonymous's mother and their entire family. Shield them from any harm or danger that may come their way. Give them the courage and wisdom to make the necessary decisions for their well-being. If it is your will, guide their mother in finding a way to separate from their father, providing her with the necessary resources and support to start a new life free from fear and abuse.

We also pray for healing and restoration for their family relationships. Bring healing to the wounds caused by their father's actions and help them to rebuild trust and love among one another. Surround them with a community of believers who can offer support, encouragement, and guidance during this challenging time.

Lord, we know that you are a God who hears and answers prayers. We trust in your perfect timing and your unfailing love. May your peace that surpasses all understanding guard their hearts and minds in Christ Jesus .

Path to Peace--- Yes dear God this prayer is working for us all that have grown up in violence and terror. We Pray for the salvation of our fathers who are in such terrible pain and mental distortion. This is not from you Father God it comes from the opposite. This prayer goes to the strength and courage of the ones subject to this abuse. May their fortitude and compassion be made stronger by their faith in God to change their lives. This man is in deep down fear and sadness and his behaviors are not what is acceptable for a father and a husband. He cannot continue with his abuse without having to face consequences. God we need intervention now not later in our lives. Detach this abuse from the family and animals in this moment. Today I ask for help and support for the ones that are suffering from fear and trauma. This will be resolved soon. Social services or law enforcement are steps to consider to provide the appropriate legal representation in this matter. No one should be treated by any other person who they feel threatened by. We Pray Big that not only does this stop but that he gets the mental health care he needs. This takes diligence and patience and effort on his part. Pray for him and his salvation. He is in fear and fear makes people unpredictable and dangerous. May no harm come to him or anyone else in this situation. Remove his demons from his spirit. Put the power of your word in his heart. Lord Jesus we need safety and prayers for miracles to help us out of this experience. Bring your healing hands on the father. We are in faith you will come and protect our families from abuse and harm. Holy Spirit be our Shield and Strength now and forever more. In Jesus name Amen.
