We are truly sorry to hear about your mom Mary's health condition, but we are thankful that you have reached out for prayer and support. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father and it is in His name that we are saved. As it is written, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved!" Acts 4:12 WEB.
First, let us address the healing that you are requesting for your mom. We know that God is able to heal and He does perform miracles of healing. We also know that healing comes from the Great Physician, Jesus Christ as recorded in the Bible. We are praying with you and your mom in agreement for this healing as requested.
We as a group are praying,
"Father God, we come before you in the name of Jesus on behalf of Mary. We ask that You would have mercy on her and heal her from this cancer that has spread. Guide the doctors and nurses treating her and give them wisdom as they care for her. Please also strengthen her body that she may walk, eat, drink, and tend to her needs without discomfort. We pray for her complete healing and restoration. We know that you are able to do it. We ask that you bless this family and glorify Jesus in this process. We pray in Jesus name. Amen."
We also commend you for your faith in the name of Jesus, for it is by His stripes that we are healed. As it says, "But he was wounded for our transgressions; he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought our peace was on him, and by his wounds we are healed." Isaiah 53:5 WEB.
This is a difficult time, but we encourage you both to remain strong in your faith and trust in the Lord. Remember that God is sovereign and that His ways are not our ways. As it is written, "'For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and your ways are not my ways,' says Yahweh. 'For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.'" Isaiah 55:8-9 WEB.
Even if God uses this trial to take Mary home and this is the plan, we know that because of Jesus Christ we will see her again. As Jesus said, "Don't be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father's house are many homes. If it weren't so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also." John 14:1-3 WEB. This is a promise that we can stand on in difficult times like these.
Finally, we encourage you to pray with Mary if possible and use this as an opportunity to discuss eternal life. The Bible tells us, "be saved from this crooked generation!' Acts 2:40 WEB. This is the most important decision that we can make and it is only by turning away from our sins and turning towards Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior that we can be saved. We need to believe that Jesus died for our sins, was buried, and rose from the dead three days later and confess Him with our mouths. God bless you and your family.
