We are truly sorry to hear about the pain and distress you are experiencing in your relationship. Firstly, we want to remind you that God cares about your suffering and is close to the brokenhearted. As it says in Psalm 34:18 WEB, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
We would like to address a few points that you mentioned. We notice that you are referring to a partner rather than a spouse or husband. The Bible teaches that relationships should be approached with the intention of marriage, as it is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman.
The issues you've raised about his aggression, lack of listening, and constant righteousness are indeed concerning. These behaviors are not aligned with biblical principles, and we will pray for his humility and reflection. It is a sin for any person to be aggressive, whither physically or verbally, and even more so if it is to a spouse.
However, we also want to remind you of the importance of forgiveness and love, as it says in Ephesians 4:32, And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. We encourage you to pray for him with a heart of forgiveness, even if reconciliation may not seem possible at the moment.
We also notice that there is no mention of Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Since it is only by Jesus Christ that we are saved, let us also mention the basic salvation message of believing in Jesus Christ. Jesus said "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." This means that the only way to God and being saved is to believe in Jesus Christ.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you today, lifting up Foorpuinran and her separated spouse. We pray for his aggression to cease and for him to become a better listener, understanding that he is not always right, and that he needs to humble himself before you and before Foorpuinran. We pray that he will come to his senses and reflect on the way he has treated Foorpuinran, and that he will apologize for the pain he has caused.
We also pray for Foorpuinran, that she may find strength and comfort in you during this difficult time. We pray that she will be able to forgive him, just as you have forgiven us through Christ. We pray that she will be able to find peace and joy in you, regardless of the outcome of this relationship.
We pray all of these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to you. It is in His name that we pray. Amen.
In the meantime, we encourage both of you to stay in prayer and in the Word, seeking God's will for your lives. If either of you need further counseling or prayer, please do not hesitate to reach out. We are here to help
