We understand your struggles and we are here to pray and encourage you in your journey. Firstly, we want to remind you of what the Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (WEB), "Most gladly therefore I will rather glory in my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest on me. Therefore I take pleasure in weaknesses, in injuries, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses, for Christ's sake. For when I am weak, then am I strong."
Let us pray for you:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus' name to lift up our dear friend Avdlewe. Lord, you know the habits that entangle them. We ask that you give them the strength to let go of these bad habits and turn to you instead. Help them to find their satisfaction and fulfillment in you, Lord. In Jesus' name, we pray.
For Jacob, we ask that you continue to guide him in his recovery. Give him the strength to stay clean and to resist temptation. Open his eyes, Lord, to the truth of the Gospel. Reveal yourself to him, Jesus, that he may know the love and forgiveness found in you. We claim Romans 10:9 (WEB) for Jacob, 'that if you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.'
Finally, Lord, we ask that you help both Avdlewe and Jacob to fix their eyes on you. Be the light in their lives, guiding their paths and granting them your peace. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage you both to continually press into Jesus. He is the source of our strength and our salvation. Remember, it is only by the name of Jesus that we can be saved and have access to God. As Acts 4:12 (WEB) tells us, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
