Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up all marriages that are struggling and those who are in new marriages or have hectic schedules. We ask that you strengthen their commitment to one another and guard their hearts against thoughts of divorce or infidelity. Lord, we pray that you would release them from past hurts, memories, and ties from previous relationships, and help them to let go of unrealistic expectations of one another.

Father, we pray against jealousy and low self-esteem in their hearts. May they find their worth and security in you, knowing that they are fearfully and wonderfully made. We ask that you protect their hearts and habits from any influences that would threaten their marriage, such as alcohol, drugs, gambling, pornography, lust, or obsessions. Help them to resist temptation and to remain faithful to one another.

Lord, we pray for unity in their marriage. May they develop a deep bond of friendship, commitment, generosity, and understanding. Remove any immaturity, hostility, or feelings of inadequacy that may hinder their relationship. Help them to prioritize and make time for one another, nurturing and renewing their marriage. Remind them of the reasons why they were married in the first place and reignite the love and passion they once had.

We specifically lift up the husband in this marriage. May his commitment to you, Lord, be unwavering, regardless of the storms that may come. Strengthen his love for his spouse each day, so that their marriage becomes a testimony of your faithfulness. We pray that their children will not experience the pain of divorce but instead witness a strong and loving marriage that reflects your love.

In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray, Amen.
