We are here to lift your marriage up in prayer, pleading for God's will to be done in your lives. We pray that your husband would be filled with the love and understanding that comes from the Holy Spirit, making him more considerate and caring towards your feelings. As it is written in Ephesians 5:25, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it."
We pray that both of you would be aligned with God's will for your lives, that His desires would become your desires. Let's pray:
"Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up this marriage to You. We pray that You would work in the heart of this husband, making him more sensitive to the feelings of his wife, that he would be filled with Your love and compassion. We also pray that You would align their hearts with Your will, that their desires would be Your desires. Help them to treat each other with the love and respect that You have shown us, encouraging and building each other up in Your love. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage both of you to study and meditate on the love that is described in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7: "Love is patient and is kind; love doesn't envy. Love doesn't brag, is not proud, doesn't behave itself inappropriately, doesn't seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn't rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things."
Lastly, we remind you that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16. We encourage you both to be committed to your marriage, working through any issues together in love and unity. Continue to pray together, seeking God's face, and He will guide you both in the path that He has chosen for you. Remember the promise in Matthew 18:20, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Keep Jesus at the center of your marriage, and you will see His blessings flow in your lives.
