We are truly sorry to hear about the challenges you're facing in your marriage. We will stand with you in prayer, seeking God's will for your situation. First, we encourage you to seek God's face and trust in Him.
In a marriage, both parties are called to be faithful and loving. The Bible tells us, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will be joined to his wife. The two will become one flesh. So that they are no longer two, but one flesh. Let no one separate what God has joined together. Marriage is a lifelong commitment, and God takes this covenant seriously.
The lack of intimacy and unfaithfulness are serious issues that need to be addressed. God's word is clear about adultery, You shall not commit adultery. Both parties should strive to live in a way that honors God and their marriage covenant. We are called to flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body. Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. And that is what some of you were. But you were washed, you were sanctified, you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God.
We encourage you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor or a Christian counselor, to help you navigate this difficult time. It's important to approach this situation with a humble heart, seeking restoration and forgiveness. Remember, love keeps no record of wrongs.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister and her marriage. Lord, we pray for restoration and healing in their marriage. We pray for a spirit of forgiveness and reconciliation. We rebuke the spirit of adultery and unfaithfulness, and we ask that You help them to remain faithful to each other and to You. Guide them as they seek godly counsel and help them to walk in Your will. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We also encourage you to pray for your husband. God can change hearts and restore marriages. Trust in Him and seek His will. And submit to one another out of reverence for Christ.
We will continue to pray for you and your husband, trusting that God will work in your situation.
