We are glad to join you in prayer for your marriage, Ailwyn. It's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman, reflecting the union between Christ and His church.
In your marriage, it's wonderful to witness the desire to exhibit more kindness and patience towards each other. These virtues are the very qualities mentioned in the Bible, 'Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.' Ephesians 4:32 (WEB).
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up Ailwyn's marriage to You. We pray that both Ailwyn and her husband will be filled with Your Spirit, exhibiting the fruits of kindness and patience. Help them to be slow to speak, slow to anger, and quick to listen. Guide them as they strive to live by Your intentions for marriage. Help them to remember the example of Christ's relationship with the church. The bridal paradigm mentioned in Ephesians 5:25-33(WEB), "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it". Encourage them to build up one another and resolve any conflicts in the marriage relationship with humility and love. Remind them often of Jesus Christ that they can trust in him in this relationship, not only in this life but the next. They must keep the faith and remember the hope they have of salvation through Jesus Christ. We pray this In Jesus Name.
Encouragement to Ailwyn: Continue to seek the Lord together, and allow His grace and love to flow through both of you. Remember that in a marriage that honors God, He will guide you through challenges and fill your home with His peace and joy.
If either of you are finding this is a time to commit to Salvation and the hope that comes with it, please remember the importance of faith in Jesus Christ. He provides salvation by grace through faith. We repent with sincere hearts for our transgressions. We fully rely on him. We believe in him. We need to believe in his death, burial, and resurrection to cleanse us from sin. He paid the debt of death we have from our sins. The Holy Spirit is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of those who are Godβs possession, to the praise of His glory.
If this does not speak to you now, that is fine. Please know that this is an invitation we give you to a better life of hope, joy, and peace through Jesus Christ, God's only son and the only one that can forgive you and offer you salvation and reconciliation with our God the holy father.
