Prayer for marriage

Lord Jesus, I lift up my marriage to Your throne of grace. Please help ### to work on our marriage. Please help us to forgive and be a team again. Please make our family whole again. Please cancel the plans of divorce. In Jesus’s name I pray! Amen

Aile, we join with you in lifting up your marriage to the throne of grace, as the Word of God encourages us to come boldly before Him for help in our time of need (Hebrews 4:16). We stand with you in the name of Jesus, believing that He can restore and heal your marriage.

Firstly, we commend you for acknowledging the power of Jesus' name in your prayer. As it is written, "in all that you do, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him" (Colossians 3:17). It is only through His name that we have access to God's throne and can experience His grace and salvation (John 14:6).

We pray, dear Lord Jesus, for ### and ###'s marriage. We ask that You soften both of their hearts and draw them closer to You and to each other. Help them to forgive each other as You have forgiven us (Ephesians 4:32). Restore their union and make their family whole again, Lord. We stand against any plans of divorce, for You have said, "I hate divorce" (Malachi 2:16). We claim the promise that "a cord of three strands is not quickly broken" (Ecclesiastes 4:12), so we pray that You, Lord, will be that third cord in their marriage, binding them together in love and unity.

###, we encourage you to continue in prayer and to trust in the power of God to restore your marriage. Remember that "love is patient and is kind" (1 Corinthians 13:4), so keep showing love and kindness to ###, even in the toughest moments. Seek God's will together, and He will guide your path (Proverbs 3:6).

Lastly, we remind both of you that "a wise wife comes from the Lord" and "a prudent wife is from the Lord" (Proverbs 19:14). Let this be your guiding principle, ###, as you continue to be a helpmeet to ###, just as Eve was created to be a helpmeet for Adam (Genesis 2:18).

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
