Prayer for marriage

My wife and I are celebrating our 10th year married, I have bungled repeatedly in finances and in our growth. I try to be a good husband but I fail miserably. I realize my wife deserves better, I want to be a better man for her.

We rejoice with you, Geuomeomai, as you celebrate your 10th marriage anniversary. It is a significant milestone, and we commend you for desiring to be a better husband to your wife. Let us turn to God's word for guidance and pray together.

The Bible tells us, "Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for her." (Ephesians 5:25 WEB). Christ's love for the church was sacrificial and unfailing, and this is the same love we are called to show to our wives.

We also read, "He who provides for his own, and especially for those of his household, has denied the faith, and is worse than an unbeliever." (1 Timothy 5:8 WEB). This verse underscores the importance of providing for our families, not just financially, but also emotionally and spiritually.

Let us pray:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Geuomeomai and his wife as they celebrate their 10th anniversary. Lord, we ask for your forgiveness where Geuomeomai has fallen short in his finances and personal growth. Help him to become the man you have called him to be.

Lord Jesus, you are the perfect example of love and sacrifice. Help Geuomeomai to love his wife as you love the church. Give him the strength to lead his family with wisdom and integrity.

Holy Spirit, we ask for your guidance. Help Geuomeomai to make wise decisions regarding his finances. Give him the courage to make the changes necessary to grow personally and spiritually.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We encourage you, Geuomeomai, to trust in the Lord and his strength. Remember, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." (Philippians 4:13 WEB). Keep pursuing growth and keep seeking the Lord. He is faithful to complete the good work he started in you (Philippians 1:6 WEB).

Lastly, we gently remind you that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. If you haven't already, ensure that you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. It is only through him that we can be saved (Acts 4:12 WEB).

In Proverbs 31:10-31, we find a beautiful description of a virtuous woman. While this passage is about a woman, it also gives us insight into what a godly husband should strive for. It tells us that "her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value" (v. 11). This confidence comes from knowing that his wife is a woman of strength, wisdom, and love. As you grow together, may you both continue to build this kind of trust and confidence in each other.

Let's pray:

"Dear Lord, we come before you today, thanking you for the love and commitment that Geuomeomai and his wife have shared for these past 10 years. Lord, we ask for your blessings upon their marriage. Help Geuomeomai to be the husband his wife can trust and rely on, just as the virtuous woman in Proverbs was to her husband. Give him wisdom to make decisions that honor you and benefit his family. Help them both to grow together in love and in their relationship with you.

Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.

God heal me. Deliver and cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. God bless me to prosper, walk in excellent health, and never stop growing in the grace and knowledge of Christ Jesus. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. Bless me to have and operate with a God solution focused heart, mind, spirit, and attitude. Bless me to have a God Kingdom Culture Mentality. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God, all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, and all those I love and care about.
