Aile, we are with you in spirit and in prayer, seeking God's will for your marriage. We commend you for bringing your request in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, as it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is only through Him can we be saved and make our requests know to God as it says in
Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
We stand with you in prayer, asking God to work in both your and Glhen's hearts, drawing you closer to Him and to each other. As it says in
2 Corinthians 5:18, "All things are of God, who has reconciled us to himself through Jesus Christ, and has given to us the ministry of reconciliation"
We pray that God will help you both to listen actively to each other, to understand each other's perspectives, and to take the necessary steps to make things right. Remember, marriage is a sacred covenant, designed by God to reflect the love between Christ and the Church. It is a lifelong commitment that should not be easily broken. God has made it clear how God feels about divorce:
Malachi 2:16 WEB He says, "'For I hate divorce,' says Yahweh, the God of Israel, 'and him who covers his garment with violence!' says Yahweh of Armies. 'Therefore pay attention to your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously.'" God hates divorce.
So believing this, we agree with you, rebuking the plans and spirit of divorce, asking God to cancel these plans and to restore your marriage. We encourage you in Ephesians 4:31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And as it says,
Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ's sake has forgiven you."
Satan loves to use marital problems to do his evil works when problems are taken for granted and not faced with the word of God. We encourage you to seek out solid Christian marriage counseling, or consult church elders. Pray together, submitting yourselves to the Holy Spirit's guidance. We'll continue to pray to help your marriage overcome and become stronger! We lift this to our Lord Jesus Christ and pray:
Father, we ask for Your divine intervention in Aile and Glhen's marriage. Soften their hearts, open their ears, and help them to see the path to reconciliation. Cancel the plans of divorce and help them to be willing to seek godly counsel. Restore their love and reunite them for Your glory. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
