We understand your urgent desire for marriage restoration and unity. It's crucially important, and a godly marriage is indeed a gift from God. We're instructed in the Word, "Therefore what God has joined together, let no man separate", confirming the sanctity of marriage.
The Bible tells us, "For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel.
Ancient of Days says Yahweh of Armies. Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and do not be unfaithful." We see that God hates divorce and calls us to be faithful. It's essential to remove any outside influences that may be causing harm or distraction, including any individuals, habits, and sin causing false promises of happiness. Be aware those individuals and habits causing sin should be purged from our lives.
However, it's also important to acknowledge the role of free will. Your wife has the freedom to choose her actions and thoughts, and while you can pray for her, it's ultimately her decision to return to the marital embrace. You, likewise, have the freedom to choose your actions and thoughts, and should be exhibiting unconditional love toward her. It would be best as God instructs for a wife to submit to her husband and a husband should also love his wife like Christ loves the church. Both are equally accountable to each other and more importantly to God. This is a difficult and painful time for both of you. Take heart that God is near and wants to bless you both. Don't let pride be a stumbling block either and acknowledge ways you can improve yourself.
Remember the power of prayer and the Word of God. Jesus said, "Again, assuredly I tell you, that if two of you will agree on earth concerning anything that they will ask, it will be done for them by my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there I am in the middle of them." Find agreement in prayer with fellow believers, and trust in God's will for your marriage. Additionally, consider the words of the Apostle Paul, "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord. For the husband is the head of the wife, as Christ also is the head of the assembly, being himself the savior of the body. But as the assembly is subject to Christ, so let the wives also be to their own husbands in everything. Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it"
Let's Pray:
Almighty God, we come before you in the name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage and asking for your healing and restoration. Remove any outside influences that are causing harm and distraction, and help both parties so they may return to a Faith filled unconditional love as You intend for them to be and create a stronger godly marriage in Jesus' name. We pray for unity, understanding, and love to flourish once again. May your blessing be seen working through their lives continuously until it is completed. We ask that you provide the abundant life and life eternal in Jesus' name. We ask for all of this in the name of Jesus Christ.
We ask in Jesus' name. Amen.
