We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage, Danielle. We will stand with you in prayer and speak God's truth into your situation.
Firstly, we commend you for your trust in Jesus Christ. As it is written in Acts 4:12 (WEB), "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men by which we must be saved." It's only through His name that we can approach God and seek restoration.
Now, let's address the issue at hand. Divorce is not God's will for marriage. In Malachi 2:16 (WEB), God says, "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" Also, in Matthew 19:6 (WEB), Jesus teaches, "So that they are no more two, but one flesh. What therefore God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
Let's pray together:
"Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus, pleading for Danielle's marriage. Lord, we ask that You soften her husband's heart, that the anger may subside, and that he may remember the good times they shared. We pray that he changes his mind about the divorce and becomes willing to attend counseling. Give them both the spirit of forgiveness, as You have forgiven us. Restore their love and unity, making their marriage stronger than before. In the meantime, comfort Danielle and strengthen her faith during this trying time. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
Danielle, continue to trust in God and His promises. Remember 1 John 5:14-15 (WEB), "This is the boldness which we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will, he listens to us. And if we know that he listens to us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions which we have asked of him."
Keep praying and fighting for your marriage. Encourage your husband to seek godly counsel, but also respect his free will. God bless you and your marriage.
