We are truly saddened to hear about the challenges you are facing in your marriage, but we are encouraged that you are turning to God in prayer. We stand with you in the name of Jesus Christ, for it is by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His name that we are saved. There is no other name by which we can be saved.
Firstly, we must address the severe anger issues. Anger is a normal emotion, but when it becomes severe and uncontrolled, it is sinful. Ephesians 4:26-27 WEB states, Be angry, and don't sin. Don't let the sun go down on your wrath, and don't give place to the devil. Your husband must understand that his anger is giving the devil a foothold in his life and in your marriage.
We pray that your husband will humble himself before God, seeking His face in repentance. 2 Chronicles 7:14 WEB, if my people, who are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
Concerning the negative influences of his family, we pray that your husband will wake up to this reality. It is important for him to understand that his first priority is his marriage and his family. Genesis 2:24 WEB, Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh.
We pray for a complete transformation of your husband from the inside out. Ezekiel 36:26 WEB, A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you; and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you a heart of flesh.
Lastly, we pray for reconciliation and the restoration of your marriage. Malachi 2:16 WEB, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, we pray for a miracle in this situation. We pray that You will soften your husband's heart, that You will remove the severe anger, and that You will give him a new heart and a new spirit. We pray that You will open his eyes to the negative influences of his family and that You will bring unity and reconciliation to this marriage. We pray for this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
We encourage you to remain steadfast in prayer and in faith. Continue to trust God in the process and believe that He is working behind the scenes. And we encourage you to continue loving your husband, but in the case that he continues in sin and refuses to turn to God, you must remain separate.
