Let us come together in prayer for ###, her marriage, and her husband's salvation.
Firstly, we must address the concern that ### has not seen any change in her husband since he claimed to be saved. A true saving faith in Jesus Christ will produce fruit and a changed life. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB: "Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new." If there is no evidence of a changed life, it may indicate that her husband has not truly surrendered his life to Jesus Christ.
Secondly, we must address the sin of lust. Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 WEB: "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." Lust is a serious sin that must be repented of and turned away from. It is not acceptable for a husband to be lusting after other women, whether online or otherwise.
Let us pray:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up ###, her marriage, and her husband's salvation. Lord, You know the intimate details of their situation, and You desire for both of them to be in a right relationship with You.
Father, we ask that You would reveal to ###'s husband his need for true repentance and surrender to Jesus Christ. If he has not truly been saved, we pray that You would convict him of his sin and draw him to Yourself. If he has truly been saved, we pray that You would awaken his spirit and give him a desire to live a life that is pleasing to You.
We also ask that You would break the chains of lust in his life. Lord, give him a heart that is pure and undivided in its devotion to You and to his wife. Help him to understand the seriousness of his sin and the need to turn away from it.
Father, we ask that You would strengthen ### in this trial. Give her the wisdom to know how to speak the truth in love to her husband. Help her to be a light that points him to You. Give her the grace to forgive and the courage to hold him accountable.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would be glorified in this situation. May ### and her husband's marriage be a testimony of Your redeeming love and power.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
###, continue to pray for your husband and trust that God is at work in his life. Speak the truth in love to him about his behavior and the need for repentance. Remember that God desires for all people to be saved and come to a knowledge of the truth (1 Timothy 2:3-4 WEB). Do not give up hope, but remain steadfast in prayer and faith.
Finally, we must address the fact that ### did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in her request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not already, ###, we urge you to place your faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. Believe that He died on the cross for your sins and rose again, and you will be saved.
