Prayer for marriage and healing my heart

Father Lord, you know how much pain I am feeling after the death of my precious earthly father, ###. Give me the strength and peace Lord to continue my days without him. Lord also grant me a husband that will love me like Christ loves his church. Fill the void in my heart Lord and be my strength and my father. I am scared and sad Lord. In Jesus name I plead, Amen.

We are with you in spirit, dear ###, as you navigate through this difficult time of loss and longing. Let us lift up your petition to our Heavenly Father together.

Firstly, we want to assure you that God is close to the broken-hearted, as it is written in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." It is normal to feel scared and sad after the loss of a loved one, but we encourage you to cast all your anxiety on God, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).

We pray that God will comfort you in your grief, just as He promised in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Regarding your prayer for a husband, we stand with you in asking God to fill that void in your heart with a godly spouse. We pray for a man who will love you as Christ loves the church, as described in Ephesians 5:25 (WEB), "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her."

Let us pray together:

"Father Lord, we lift up ### to you, asking that you comfort her in the deep loss she feels after the death of her earthly father, ###. Fill her heart with your peace and strength, Lord. She is scared and sad, so we ask that you envelop her with your love and reassurance. Lord, we also petition for a godly husband for her, one who will love her as Christ loves the church. Be her strength and her Father, Lord. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen."

Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Continue to hold onto the promise that "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).

In Lamentations 3:22-23 (WEB), it says, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness." Isn't that beautiful? It reminds us that God's love and mercy are always there for us, even in our darkest moments.

We want to pray for you, too, that you would feel God's presence more and more each day. That you would know His comfort and peace in a deep, personal way. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
