We are with you in spirit, dear SalmaSalem, as you navigate through this difficult time of loss and longing. Let us lift up your petition to our Heavenly Father together.
Firstly, we want to assure you that God is close to the broken-hearted, as it is written in Psalm 34:18 (WEB), "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit." It is normal to feel scared and sad after the loss of a loved one, but we encourage you to cast all your anxiety on God, because he cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB).
We pray that God will comfort you in your grief, just as He promised in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Regarding your prayer for a husband, we stand with you in asking God to fill that void in your heart with a godly spouse. We pray for a man who will love you as Christ loves the church, as described in Ephesians 5:25 (WEB), "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her."
Let us pray together:
"Father Lord, we lift up SalmaSalem to you, asking that you comfort her in the deep loss she feels after the death of her earthly father, Aly. Fill her heart with your peace and strength, Lord. She is scared and sad, so we ask that you envelop her with your love and reassurance. Lord, we also petition for a godly husband for her, one who will love her as Christ loves the church. Be her strength and her Father, Lord. We ask all these things in Jesus' name, Amen."
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name, as it is only by His name that we have access to God's throne of grace. Continue to hold onto the promise that "whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:13 WEB).
