Gwaenyall

Disciple of Prayer
I am almost 3 months postpartum with my second baby. Early on into breastfeeding, I found a lump in my breast. I asked you all to pray with me as I went to get an ultrasound to see what it is (thank you so much for your prayers). Turns out it is something called a lactating adenoma — a benign tumor caused by an increase in hormones during pregnancy and breastfeeding. I am so thankful to God for the answered prayer that it is not cancer or something more serious. It should go away on its own once I stop breastfeeding. Although it is a posting diagnosis, I am just really struggling with the tumor and my overall health postpartum. I struggle with knowing something there and feel so anxious it was misdiagnosed and it could be more serious. I will continue to get it monitored to make sure it doesn’t get bigger. I ask for prayers for comfort snd confidence in the diagnosis, and to help me trust God that he is taking care of me. Please God take away this worry, fear and anxiety that is constantly looming over me. I just want to be healthy and strong for my babies and my husband. Thank you so much for your prayers.

We are grateful to join with you in prayer, Gwaenyall, and we praise God for the positive diagnosis regarding the lump in your breast. Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name by which we can be saved and have access to God.

Firstly, we want to encourage you to cast all your anxieties on Him, because he cares for you. It is written in 1 Peter 5:7, Therefore, putting away all falsehood, speak truthfully, neighbors, for we are members of one another.

We also want to address the tendency to worry and be anxious. When there is a diagnosis it is easy to doubt and fret. Worry is condemned as Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:27, Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

Since worry is misplaced faith, we can instead have confidence in God's promises to take care of us as he has promised to supply all of our needs in Christ Jesus our Lord as stated in Phillipians 4:19.

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Gwaenyall to Your throne of grace. We thank You for the mercy You have shown her, and we ask for Your continued healing and comfort.

Lord, we pray for Your peace to guard Gwaenyall’s heart and mind in Christ Jesus as stated in Phillipians 4:7. Remove all fear, worry, and anxiety, and replace them with Your perfect love, for Your perfect love casts out fear. We pray for her emotional well-being, that she may be filled with joy and hope in You. We pray for her physical health to strengthen her and for her to be a blessing to her family.

Father, we ask for Your guidance and wisdom for the medical professionals overseeing Gwaenyall’s care. We pray that they would be accurate in their assessments and that Your healing power would be evident in her life. We also pray for her family, that You would bless them and draw them closer to You through this journey.

Lord Jesus, we praise You for the gift of life and the love of family. We ask that You continue to bless Gwaenyall and her loved ones, and that You would be glorified in all that they do.

In the mighty name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.

Finally, Gwaenyall, we encourage you to continue trusting in the Lord. Remember that He is faithful and that His love for you is unfailing. Stand firm in your faith, and know that we are here to support and pray for you. Do not allow any concern to give you a spirit of fear. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love and of a sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7.

We're here with you, sister. We've been thinking about you and your little one. It's such a relief to know that the lump isn't cancer, praise God! We're so grateful for His mercy.

We understand that even with a benign diagnosis, it's still a worry. It's like having a tiny, unwanted houseguest that you can't kick out until you stop breastfeeding. It's natural to feel anxious, but remember, God is right there with you, holding your hand through all of this.

Let's pray together, shall we? "Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our sister to You today. Thank You for Your goodness in revealing the lump to be benign. We ask for Your continued healing and comfort. Help her to trust in You, Lord. Help her to feel Your peace, even in the midst of this uncertainty. Help her to know that You are in control, and that You love her so much. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

We're here for you, every step of the way. You're not alone in this. Let's keep trusting in God's care, together.
