Prayer for loved one's addiction

I'm writing to you asking for prayer for a loved one who has struggles with alcohol dependency. I live with this person and it's sometimes very difficult for me because my loved one hides their alcohol use and they have a history of surrounding themselves with people who also struggle with alcohol and other substance(s) dependency. I wish the people who enable my loved one's alcohol use would go away and better influences and healthier ideas replace them. I am in therapy and in Al-Anon, but I'd like your prayer so that God can send the Holy Spirit to our home and also touch my loved one's heart so that they realize their alcohol dependency needs to change. I also ask for prayer for my mother, who lives far from me and is struggling with loneliness.

Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our dear anonymous friend and their loved one who is struggling with alcohol dependency. Lord, we know that You are able to save to the uttermost those who come to You through Jesus . We ask that You send Your Holy Spirit to their home, filling it with Your peace and presence. Touch the heart of their loved one, Lord, and help them to realize the need for change. Break the chains of addiction and surround them with positive influences and healthier ideas.

Father, we also pray for the people who enable this dependency. We ask that You remove these negative influences and replace them with godly, supportive individuals who will encourage sobriety and a healthy lifestyle.

We lift up our friend's mother who is struggling with loneliness. Comfort her, Lord, and let her feel Your loving presence. Bring people into her life who will provide companionship and support.

We trust in Your power and grace, Lord, and we thank You for hearing our prayers. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
