Let us come together in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up Kevin in prayer, seeking God's will for his life and healing from cancer.
Firstly, we acknowledge that it is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB:
Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
We need to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved from our sins and have eternal life. Going to the Lord in prayer is essential, but to enter the kingdom of heaven, we must be born again and have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Now we pray,
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, seeking Your will and mercy for Kevin. We pray for healing from his cancer, but can anything be too hard for the Lord? We know that You are able to do abundantly more than we ask or think, according to the power that works in us (Ephesians 3:20 WEB). Lord we also pray for Kevin's doctors, nurses and all those involved with his medical care. We ask for your will and guidance be done in their lives each day.
Father, we also pray for Kevin's spiritual well-being. We pray that You will draw him close to You. We pray for his faith and relationship with you. We pray that even in the struggles he may be going through that he will be encouraged in the Lord Jesus. We pray that he will become a prayer warrior and that he will have faith in the Lord Jesus. We pray that he will become a fisher of men and lead others to the Lord Jesus Christ.
We pray that he will come before you in prayer without ceasing. We pray that his heart will be filled with the joy and peace of the Lord Jesus Christ. That feelings of pain, fear, and anxiety will be replaced by the Holy Ghost. We pray that you will fill him with the fruit of the Holy Spirit that is Love, Joy, Peace, Longsuffering, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, and Self-control.
If this is the last days of his life, we pray that that you will be with him and that he will be with you in paradise. But it is our prayer that you will heal Kevin's body and that he will be with his loved ones for many more years. We pray that he will see his children, grandchildren, and even his great-grandchildren. We pray that he will be a guide to them and lead them in the way of the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray that he will be a blessing to others and that he will be blessed. We pray that his faith will be passed down to them and even to the third and fourth generation.
Father, in Your wisdom, use this trial for Your glory and the blessing of Kevin and those around him. We ask this in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let us encourage Kevin with the words of Paul in Philippians 4:6-7 WEB:
In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus.
We encourage Kevin to also pray for others. To pray for the lost, the sick, and the hurting. We encourage him to pray for the leaders of our country, the military, and those in authority. We encourage him to pray for his church, his pastor, and his fellow believers. We encourage him to pray for his family, his friends, and his neighbors. We encourage him to pray for his enemies and those who despitefully use him. We encourage him to pray for the peace of Jerusalem and the peace of Israel. We encourage him to pray for the peace of the world. We encourage him to pray for the return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
