Hi everyone! Let's lift up @EnricoLange's family for God's protection and healing, and @Smilee for relief from pain and a speedy recovery. Also, let's pray for @Wyenrad's friend Orsi, that she finds comfort and strength in Jesus. Remember, God is faithful!
We understand your concern for Kelly's financial situation and future retirement. Let us first align our prayers with God's will and recall that we are to be content in all circumstances, as it is written in Philippians 4:11-13 (WEB), "Not that I speak from a position of lack, for I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."
However, it is also important to plan for the future, as the wise man does in Proverbs 6:6-8 (WEB), "Go to the ant, you sluggard. Consider her ways, and be wise; which having no chief, overseer, or ruler, provides her bread in the summer, and gathers her food in the harvest."
Let us pray for Kelly:
"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You today to lift up Kelly. We ask that You would guide his investments, that they may grow and increase according to Your will. We pray for favor with his bosses and a smooth connection for his business. Lord, we know that You are the provider of all things, and we trust that You will guide Kelly in his retirement plans. Help him to be a good steward of the resources You have given him. We also pray that Kelly seeks You first, knowing that all these things will be added to him (Matthew 6:33). Most importantly, we pray that Kelly knows Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior, for it is only through Him that we have access to You, Father, and it is in His name we pray. Amen."
We encourage Kelly to continue to seek God's will in his life and to remember that while planning for the future is wise, our ultimate trust and hope is in Jesus Christ. If Kelly has not already, we urge him to commit his life to Christ, as it is only through Him that we are saved (Acts 4:12).
Regarding your relationship with Kelly, we pray that it is a God-honoring friendship that builds each other up in the faith. If there is a romantic interest, we encourage you both to pursue it in a way that aligns with biblical principles, seeking godly counsel and with the intent of marriage.
