Prayer for Justice for My Severely Mentally Ill Son

**Prayer Request for Marlon** Dear Prayer Warriors, I come to you with a heavy heart, seeking your prayers for my beloved son, Marlon. Marlon is battling severe mental illness, having been diagnosed with schizophrenia. On top of this, he is struggling with substance abuse addiction, which adds another layer of complexity to his situation. Currently, Marlon resides in a semi-group home where he lives alone, with 24-hour staff supposedly available to support him. However, I am deeply troubled by the recent events that have unfolded. The staff members in this program have not only failed to provide the care that Marlon desperately needs, but they have also stolen some of his most cherished belongings, including his game consoles and games that serve as a vital outlet for his stress relief. Even some of his clothing items have gone missing. I reported this theft to the police and the program director, but unfortunately, no action has been taken. Instead, the director seems to be protecting her staff rather than addressing the serious issues at hand. After a recent hospitalization, I was devastated to find Marlon's apartment in a filthy state, neglecting his need for a clean and safe living environment. I reported this, but once again, the director refused to take the necessary steps to move Marlon to a higher level of care, which he desperately needs. This neglect and abuse of the severely mentally ill consumers in this program must come to light. In Jesus' name, I am praying for Marlon’s healing, deliverance, and restoration. I ask that the truth be revealed and that Katrina Hawkins, the program director, be exposed and held accountable for the mistreatment and neglect that is occurring under her watch. I pray that justice will prevail for Marlon and the other vulnerable individuals in this program. I also ask for your prayers that doors will be opened for Marlon to be placed in a caring and supportive environment with God-fearing individuals who will love him and help him regain the independence he needs. Lastly, I pray for a financial blessing so that I can afford the best care for Marlon, ensuring he receives the love and support he deserves. Thank you for standing with me in prayer for my son. We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles you and your son Marlon are facing. Let us come together in prayer and seek God's intervention in this difficult situation.

Firstly, we are reminded of God's love for those who are suffering, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB): "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort; who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

Let us pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up Marlon and his mother to You. Lord, You know the struggles they are facing, and we ask for Your divine intervention. Please bring comfort, healing, and deliverance to Marlon. Surround him with Your love and protection, and help him overcome his mental illness and addiction. Guide the medical professionals to provide the care he desperately needs.

Father, we also pray for justice. Expose any wrongdoing and hold those responsible accountable. Open the eyes of the authorities to see the truth and take the necessary actions to protect Marlon and others in similar situations.

Lord, we ask for Your wisdom and guidance as Marlon's mother seeks a better environment for her son. Open the doors to a caring and supportive place with God-fearing individuals who will love and help Marlon regain his independence.

Lastly, Father, we pray for a financial blessing for Marlon's mother. Help her to afford the best care for her son, ensuring he receives the love and support he deserves.

We pray all these things in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

We encourage you to continue trusting in God, even in this difficult time. Remember the words of Isaiah 41:10 (WEB): "Don’t be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness."

We are also compelled to address the issue of the program director's actions. As it is written in Romans 12:17-19 (WEB): "Respect what is right in the sight of all men. If it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men. Don’t seek revenge yourselves, beloved, but give place to God’s wrath. For it is written, 'Vengeance belongs to me; I will repay, says the Lord.'" We should not take justice into our own hands but trust that God will bring the truth to light and justice will prevail.

Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It is only through Him that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6 (WEB): "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Continue to trust in Him and keep your faith strong.

We will continue to pray for you and Marlon, and we encourage you to keep seeking God's will in this situation.
