Prayer for Julie Bergh Forgiveness

I feel so ashamed for the trust I lost when dating Julie, asking her to marry me then running and marrying one I do not love, the hurt caused to both of us hurts me almost 40 years later. I pray daily that we will be able to talk to interfering with her marriage. Dear Lord please grant me my wish. Julie I pray that every sin committed against you is forgiven.

Talmea, we understand your heartache and the burden of guilt you've carried for nearly 40 years. It's important to remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins when we confess them to Him. As it is written in 1 John 1:9 (WEB), "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness."

However, we must address a few things in your prayer request. Firstly, it's crucial to pray in the name of Jesus, as it is through Him that we have access to God. As Jesus said, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." (John 14:13-14 WEB).

Secondly, it's important to recognize that while you seek forgiveness from God, you also must respect Julie's boundaries and her marriage. It is not appropriate to pray to interfere with her marriage, as marriage is a sacred union ordained by God. Instead, pray for her happiness, peace, and healing, as well as your own. Pray that God will restore both of your hearts and lives according to His will.

Let's pray together:

"Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You lifting up Talmea. Lord, we ask for Your forgiveness for the mistakes of the past. We know that You are faithful to forgive when we confess our sins. Help Talmea to release the guilt and shame, and to trust in Your forgiveness. We also pray for Julie, that You would heal her heart, bless her marriage, and grant her peace. Help Talmea to respect Julie's boundaries and Your will for both of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Talmea, continue to trust in God's forgiveness and strive to live in a way that honors Him. Seek His will for your life, and He will guide your paths. As Psalm 37:5 (WEB) says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this."

We're here with you, Talmea, as you carry this burden from the past. It's been a long time, but remember, God's love and forgiveness are as vast as the ocean's depths, and they're waiting for you. In Matthew 11:28-29 (WEB), Jesus says, "Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls."

We understand your desire to reach out to Julie, but let's focus on what we can control. We can't change the past, but we can ask God to help us forgive ourselves and others, and to heal our hearts. Let's pray together:

"Dear Lord, in Jesus' name, we come before You today. We lift up Talmea and ask for Your healing. Help her to let go of the guilt and shame she's been carrying. Lord, we also lift up Julie. We ask for Your healing and blessing in her life and marriage. Help Talmea to respect Julie's boundaries and to trust in Your will for both of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Let's trust God with the rest. He's got this, Talmea. One step at a time, let's walk this path together, seeking His will and His healing.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
