Prayer for job

Please pray for me and my husband to find direction in life. Help us to ask the Lord which way we should go. He's currently a full-time ### and he would like to change and have another income. I also need prayers in getting a job or starting a business.

Qiexmoor, we are here to lift you and your husband up in prayer and to provide biblical guidance for your situation. We commend you for seeking God's will in your lives and for your desire to prosper in your endeavors. Let us first address your prayer request.

Firstly, it is essential to remember that God has a plan and purpose for each of us, and He desires for us to prosper in all that we do. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the plans that I have for you,' says the Lord, 'plans for peace and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope."

Regarding your husband's desire to change his current position as a full-time Pastor, we encourage you both to seek God's face in this matter. Being a Pastor is a noble calling, and it is a role that should not be taken lightly. However, we understand that there may be circumstances that necessitate a change. We pray that God will guide your husband's steps and provide him with another income source if that is His will.

In Proverbs 16:9, it is written, "A person's heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps."

For your prayer request about finding a job or starting a business, we pray that God will open doors for you and grant you favor in your endeavors. We encourage you to be diligent in your pursuit and to trust in God's timing.

In Proverbs 31:10-31, the virtuous woman is described as one who is diligent in her work and who brings honor to her husband and her family. We pray that you will exemplify these qualities as you seek employment or start a business.

However, we would like to remind you both that the ultimate goal should be to serve God and bring Him glory in all that you do. As it is written in Colossians 3:17, "Whatever you do, in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him."

We also note that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. Therefore, we would like to remind you that it is only by His name that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'"

Furthermore, we would like to remind you both that God desires for us to be content in all circumstances. As it is written in Philippians 4:11-13, "Not that I speak because of need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content in it. I know how to be humbled, and I know also how to abound. In everything and in all things I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me."

Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in Jesus Christ, lifting up ### and her husband. Lord, we ask that you would guide their steps and direct their paths. We pray that you would provide ###'s husband with clear direction regarding his current role as a Pastor and that you would provide him with another income source if that is your will. We also pray that you would open doors for ### and grant her favor in her pursuit of employment or starting a business. We pray for each of their lives that they can look for opportunities to serve you and others through each of these decisions.

In all things, we pray that they would seek to bring honor and glory to your name. We pray for contentment in all circumstances and that they will both abound and be in need to honor your name. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
