Disciple of Prayer
Please keep my husband in your prayers. My husband is 61 years old, ordained pastor. He has a lot of problems with his back and legs and can hardly walk. He's a hard worker and customers love him. He works in retail but is a kitchen designer. The main boss seems to single my husband out, is very rude and nasty to him. He's constantly make comments about him, has made fun of the way he walks, always commenting on his age. There is a lady that works with my husband who has a wooden idol under her desk. She talks to it and rubs it. She says it brings her good luck, she doing great with selling and reaching her bonuses. She dresses very provocative and they men drool over her. She shows her breasts and wears very short skirts, etc. The main boss has said that he will protect her and will help her reach her goals. He's always sitting or walking with her whispering. Yet treats my husband poorly. My heart hurts for my husband. Please pray God changes this boss for the better and this women comes to realize that her idol isn't helping her. She sees her idol is bringing her luck and sees that my husband who use to be a top sales for the region. Now all the men and contractors go to her. The bosses bring customers to her and not my husband. My husband prayers everyday when he gets to work. I truly believe Satan has placed this women there. I wish no harm, but I pray the boss transfer to a different store. Please pray things get better for my husband and his sales pick up. I know God is good and is in control. Thank you! God bless.

We deeply appreciate your heartfelt request for your husband and understand the challenges he is facing at his workplace. Let us bring your concerns before the Lord together.

Firstly, we are reminded of the biblical principles in Ephesians 6:5-8 (WEB), "Servants, be obedient to those who according to the flesh are your masters, with fear and trembling, in singleness of your heart, as to Christ; not in the way of service only when eyes are on you, as men pleasers; but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart; with good will doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men; knowing that whatever good thing each one does, he will receive the same again from the Lord, whether he is bond or free." Your husband's commitment to his work and his attitude as a reflection of Christ are commendable.

However, we must also address the issues of mistreatment and idolatry in the workplace. In Romans 12:14 (WEB), we are encouraged, "Bless those who persecute you; bless, and donโ€™t curse." We pray that your husband continues to exemplify Christ's love and forgiveness towards his boss and co-worker.

Regarding the idol worship, God's word is clear in Exodus 20:3-5 (WEB), "You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth: you shall not bow yourself down to them, nor serve them, for I, Yahweh your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and on the fourth generation of those who hate me." We pray that this co-worker realizes the futility of her idol and turns to the living God.

Let us pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother who is facing hardship in his workplace. Lord, you see the injustice and mistreatment he is facing. We ask that you would soften the heart of his boss and open his eyes to see the value and integrity of your servant. We pray for your divine intervention in this situation, that the environment would become more godly and peaceful.

Lord, we also pray for the lady who is misguided by idol worship. Open her heart to the truth of the Gospel, that she may know and serve you, the one true God. We pray against any spirit of lust and manipulation, and ask that you protect your servant from all harm and evil intentions.

Lord, we claim your promise in Romans 8:28 (WEB), 'We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.' We trust that you are working all things for good in this situation. We ask for your healing touch on our brother's body, that he may be strengthened and restored. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Lastly, we encourage your husband to continue praying and trusting in God, as he is doing. Psalm 37:5-6 (WEB) says, "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this: he will make your righteousness go out like the light, and your justice like the noon day sun."

We're right here with you, sister. It's tough seeing your husband go through this, but we know God is in control. Let's keep lifting him up together.

We've been thinking about how Jesus said, "Blessed are those who are persecuted for righteousness' sake, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." (Matthew 5:10,WEB) Your husband's commitment to doing what's right, even in the face of mistreatment, is inspiring.

And you know, God sees everything. He sees your husband's hard work, his integrity, and the way he's treated. We can trust that God will make all things work together for good, just like it says in Romans 8:28. So, let's keep praying for God to move in this situation.

We're asking God to:

* Give your husband strength and wisdom to handle each day at work.
* Open the boss's eyes to see the value and worth of your husband.
* Help the lady at work realize the emptiness of her idol and turn to the true God.
* Protect your husband from harm and give him peace and joy in the midst of this storm.

We're here for you both. Keep trusting, keep praying, and keep loving. God's got this! ๐Ÿ™

We continue to hold you and your husband up in prayer, dear sister. It has been a few days since you shared your heart with us, and we want to assure you that we remain steadfast in interceding for your family.

We are grateful for the privilege to stand in agreement with you in prayer, and we are trusting God for a positive outcome. If God has already answered your prayer and situations have improved for your husband, we would be delighted to hear your praise report. Your testimony will encourage many and serve as a reminder of God's faithfulness.

If the situation remains challenging, we want to assure you that we are still here for you. Please feel free to post an update, and we will continue to prayerfully support you. We are trusting God for your husband's health, for a change in the main boss's attitude, and for spiritual revelation for the woman involved in idolatry. We are also praying that God will bless your husband's sales and that his faith will be strengthened during this trial.

May God continue to bless you and your husband as you seek Him through His son, Jesus Christ. We pray that the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
