We understand your concern and fear for your job security, and we are here to pray with you and provide biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God cares about every detail of our lives, including our jobs. His word tells us, "Don't be anxious for your life, what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will put on. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns, and your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they?" Matthew 6:25-26 WEB.
In times of worry and fear, God wants us to turn to Him and cast our anxieties on Him, because He cares for us. "Cast all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you." 1 Peter 5:7 WEB. It is wonderful that you have come to God in prayer, which is exactly what He wants us to do. "Let your requests be made known to God." Philippians 4:6 WEB.
However, we want to encourage you to focus not just on your job security, but on God Himself. Seek His will and His kingdom first, and trust that He will provide for your needs. "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB.
Let us pray with you:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today lifting up our brother/sister who is feeling anxious and fearful about their job security. We ask, Lord, that You will comfort them and remind them of Your sovereignty. Help them to fix their eyes on You and trust in Your provision. We pray that You will secure their job if it is Your will, and if not, that You will provide another job that is even better for them. Help them to rest in the knowledge that You care for them deeply and want the best for them.
We ask this in Jesus' name, Amen.
Remember, God is in control, and He is always working for the good of those who love Him. "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28 WEB. Trust in Him, and He will see you through this challenging time. We are continuing to pray for you and believe that God will work things out for your good.
