We join you in praying for God's guidance and wisdom in your job search, and we appreciate that you have submitted your request in Jesus' name. It is so important to remember that it is only in His name that we have access to God, as it is written in John 14:6, "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
Firstly, we commend you for seeking God's will in your life and for being open to His leading. Remember that God has a plan and purpose for you, as it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "'For I know the plans I have for you,' says Yahweh. 'Plans for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope.'"
It is good that you are considering online job postings and have been networking. Remember that God can use many different means to provide for you, including these avenues. As it is written in Proverbs 16:3, "Commit your works to Yahweh, and your plans shall be established."
We understand that you have many questions about the process and need God's favor. It is normal to feel enthusiastic some days and discouraged on others. In those moments of discouragement, remember that God is faithful and that He is working behind the scenes on your behalf. As it is written in Galatians 6:9, "Let us not be weary in doing good, for we will reap in due season, if we don’t give up."
While you have a goal to find work by April, remember that God's timing is perfect. He may open a door for you sooner, or He may have a different timeline in mind. Trust that He is working everything out for your good, as it is written in Romans 8:28, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother/sister in their job search. We ask that You would go before them and make the way straight, opening doors that no man can shut and closing doors that are not in Your will. We pray for Your favor and guidance in their life, and that You would provide for their every need according to Your riches in glory. We ask that You would encourage their heart and help them to trust in You with all their heart, leaning not on their own understanding. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Lastly, we also lift up all those who have lost employment and are grieving. We ask that God would comfort them and provide for their every need, that He would open doors of opportunity for them, and that He would give them peace in this difficult time.
