Dexter2020, thank you for reaching out and sharing your prayer request with us. We are here to pray with you and offer biblical guidance.
Firstly, we want to address the job offer situation. We pray that God's will be done in your life. Remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." We pray that God will guide you to the job that He has prepared for you, whether it is at NGH or Aspial.
Now, regarding your interaction with Tee Hee, we appreciate your desire for a godly relationship. We want the word of God to enlighten any future situation for both of you. In 2 Corinthians 6:14 WEB, it says, "Don’t be unequally yoked with unbelievers, for what fellowship have righteousness and iniquity? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?"
As you consider this relationship, it is crucial to ensure that Tee Hee is a fellow believer in Jesus Christ. This is vital because spiritual compatibility is essential for a successful and godly marriage. Having similar personalities or other similar traits have no importance if you are not in agreement spiritually. When this is the case it can lead to a rocky spiritual life in the relationship.
We also want to remind you of the sanctity of marriage as designed by God. In Genesis 2:24,25 WEB, it says:
Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh and the man and his wife were both naked, and they were not ashamed.
So we should not be flippantly discussing marriage but discussing the relationship towards that goal. It is a union that should not be entered into lightly.
It is also not wise to seek modern dating advice in the worldly sense but to consider this as courtship. Marriage should be honorable and anyone pursuing a relationship should be unashamed and ready for marriage. We should never be discussing the idea of physical attraction being the reason for taking the online courtship relationship to the next level. The online relationship should be continued until it can easily be discerned that marriage is the ultimate outcome of the relationship.
We are even instructed to forsake our parents for our spouse. In the book of 1 Corinthians 7:2 WEB, it says:
"But because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband".
We need to also take a moment to explain that Jesus is the only way to the Father in Heaven. In John 14:6 WEB it says:
Yahshua said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me."
This applies in most all instances. The name of Jesus is the only one by which we can obtain salvation and it is only in the name of Jesus that we can ask the Father for anything, even a relationship or job. We should not take this lightly.
In this case, anything that should be sought in this relationship will be given if it aligns with the will of God. This should always be something that we consider and you have a great start on this. We should only seek relationships that will glorify God.
Now, let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up Dexter2020. We pray for Your guidance and wisdom in his job search, that You will open the right door and give him a position that aligns with Your will for his life.
We also pray for his interaction with Tee Hee. Lord, if it is Your will for them to be together eventually for marriage, we pray that You will bless their relationship and guide them towards a godly union. Help them to grow in their faith and love for You, and for each other, as they continue to get to know one another.
We pray that Tee Hee and Dexter2020 will be want to be help mates to each other and encourage each other. We pray that you will give both of them in the online relationship discernment of what you want for them. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue seeking God's will in all areas of your life, especially in your relationships. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths. Stay strong in your faith, and remember to keep Jesus at the center of all your decisions. We pray the that person you eventually chose will be help mate to you and help them both become closer to God. If you also remember that you have a relationship with Jesus then you can have a relationship with this woman. The relationship you have with God is so much more important but this woman can complement your relationship with God. She should be helping your relationship with God and you should do the same for her. This is a marvelous and wonderful relationship as a union that God considers as one flesh. May the both of your spirits come together in harmony with each other and with God.
